The bizarre racial doctrines of the left, which is waging a political and cultural war against middle and working class whites, are a critical component of our decline and fall. If you consider that “racial claptrap,” you are badly out of touch with reality.

As has been pointed out elsewhere such claims have been made for over a century about various immigrant groups (Irish, Chinese, Italians, Eastern Europeans/Jews, etc) and the US has failed to collapse from cultural apoplexy (unless you’re suggesting that Lehman Brothers was run by migrant workers).
Only paranoid people see themselves as under attack. For everyone else it’s the way the world works - immigrant populations move for various reasons, they eventually assimilate whilst adding new things to the culture and life goes on. Sure, Phoenix and El Paso may get a few more taco stands but give those Latinos a generation or two and they’ll all be speaking incomprehensible English and paying too much for Starbucks mochas just like all the white kids.
Seems to me the policies that are leading to the Brazilification of the US you lament so are for, of, and by white men. It’s also interesting that you assume ‘The left’ doesn’t include those middle- and working-class whites.

Sorry, I’m having to deal with an odd flurry of things, work and otherwise, that are taking up an unusual amount of my time right now. I saw your posts last night and I’ve been giving them a lot of thought, but I don’t have time to address them right now. I’m also unsure if it’s even worthwhile in terms of practicality, the time it would require, and dealing with the fallout that would most surely result (misunderstandings, mischaracterizations, false/erroneous attributions of motive and belief, insults and so on).
But even more importantly, these are questions that require a great deal of thought and call for reasoning and answers that are far more complex than you may have realized when you asked them (No. 1, anyway; I could answer No. 2 fairly easily, though due to its simplicity you likely wouldn’t find it very satisfying), and again I’m not sure the time required would be worth whatever might be accomplished by delving into such complex issues that are, after all, an impossibility to begin with.
So I’ll think about it some more, and give my answer(s) when I can find the time.
Don’t you get it? It’s karma. The indigenous peoples of the Americas are just now getting around to taking back their lands from the white invaders. Turnabout is fair play and all that.

Guin, do you seriously believe the United States is just going to go on forever, that we will always be wealthy and powerful no matter what? Leaving the racial element entirely aside, let’s look at where the United States is today.
We’ve badly mismanaged our economy, we’ve lost control of our borders, ideological rigidity possesses both the left and the right, and we have created a mind-boggling web of military alliances and commitments around the globe any one of which could blow up in our faces and involve us in a bloody and expensive conflict. What’s more, there is no sign that our political class has any intention whatsoever of dealing realistically with any of these problems.
The trillion dollar raid on the public treasury we recently witnessed, the sole purpose of which was to make sure that rich people did not lose money, will be funded with borrowing. Barack Obama, the most likely winner of the next presidential election, intends to add hundreds of billions of dollars of expenses to the federal budget that will have to be funded with still more borrowing. What’s more, the Census Bureau projects that we will add a hundred million people to our population over the next four decades, meaning that we must find sufficient capital to add infrastructure (roads, water pipelines, housing, schools, hospitals, courts, police, prisons, etc.) equivalent to twenty five cities the size of Los Angeles to avoid a disastrous decline in our standard of living. Almost all of the new population will be due to immigration.
What part of that tells you that the United States has a rosy future?
No, Guin, I’m sorry, but the United States is in a state of irreversible decline and must eventually collapse. This will happen almost certainly by the end of this century, most likely in the middle decades sometime between 2030 and 2070, but the collapse may well happen even earlier. We simply cannot continue our present course without catastrophe. In 1982, no one expected that the Soviet Union would be gone by 1992. If it could happen so precipitously to the Soviets, why could it not happen to us?
