Station 19 S5 E17 "The Road You Didn't Take" is must-watch TV

My mother told me, without telling me what it was about, that I needed to watch Season 5, Episode 17 of the ABC show Station 18, available to watch on Hulu. I had never seen the series before, or even heard of it.

I was floored. A domestic dispute between a father who’s supporting his trans son, and the mother and stepfather who want to take him away. A man with diabetic peripheral neuropathy who doesn’t want to go into debt, so he literally doesn’t come into the fire station’s clinic until his toes fall off. A firefighter who was abused by her ex-boyfriend to the point where she couldn’t take it anymore and she shot him, now going on a short road trip with her co-worker, who learns about the family he never had.

Lots of compelling storylines in just that one episode. This series might be worthy of a binge-watch.

Station 19?

Blarg. That’s correct. I’ll put in for a re-name. Too many dang numbers.

Sounds like pretty much every other modern network TV drama on these days.
