Steam black friday sale - now through 11/26

It’s worth it for theSamurai Helmet.

I got it now, by God. And thankfully I picked up Knights of the Old Republic I + II before they jumped to merely 50% off.

Anybody else find Steam’s browser annoying? I can’t find out more information about a game without having to restart going through the list.

In other news:
Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition - $17.99
The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director’s Cut - $2.49
The Longest Journey + Dreamfall - $9.99
Dungeons of Dredmor Complete - $2.49
The Bard’s Tale - $2.49
Sam & Max Complete Pack - $24.99 (actually, all of the Telltale games seem to be 50% off, but this is a particularly good deal for three games)

Dead Island GOTY is $6.79. Kind of surprises me it’s a flash deal first, seems high profile enough sale to justify a daily deal at least.

Other new flash deals Dear Esther $2.50, Dungeon Defenders $3.75, Two Worlds $7.50, Rage $5, Train Sim 2012 $18.69

It was just the same price at Amazon. They might have been trying to match it.

Max Payne 3 is $15 from GMG. No vouchers accepted. Not Steam activated.

Yeah, that’s always bugged me.

Rage is a gigantic download (about 25GB). If you’re not planning on playing it over your Thanksgiving turkey, you can order a boxed copy from Newegg for the same price ($4.99) as Steam’s sale and with free shipping.

Max Payne 3 is apparently getting cut all over the place. $11.86 at GamersGate after code G2PO.

Does not activate on Steam.

Daily
Arma 2 Combined Operations $15 50%
Max Payne 3 $15 75%
Awesomenauts $3.39 66%
Portal 2 $5 75%
Sleeping Dogs $25 50%
Prototype 2 $20 50%

new flash deals
Company of heroes franchise 75% ($2.50 for base game, recommend gold for $7.50)
Gary’s mod $2.50 75%
Of Orcs and Men $20 50%

I don’t know what the latest on day z is, but I suspect now is probably a bad time to be buying arma 2 for it.

Dayz just had a nice update, increased vehicles etc. Hackers are still an issue, but DayZ mod is in the hands of a Hall picked community dev project state.

Dishonored and Skyrim are both currently $22.50 at GreenmanGaming with voucher code GMG25-G4VDR-0ZL4Q

Both Steam activated.

How is Steam with correcting pricing errors? First time I’ve ever had a problem. Bought Saints Row the Third Full Package and the sale price was 12.99. By the time I had clicked through (yes, I should have checked), I saw that they had charged me 24.99. I put in a help ticket with an attachment of the screen showing what the price should be, but I just wanted to know if anyone else had experience in this type of situation.

I’m patiently waiting to be paid tomorrow, and hopefully get my bonus with it.

I just did myself. It’s worth the experience for the sale price even if the stand-alone really takes off soon.

Amazon has BF3 premium edition (game + 5 DLCs) for $30. Highly recommended.

From Gamefly with code NOV20OFF:

Syndicate - $4.07
Spec Ops: the Line - $5.99
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning - $6.40
Torchlight II - $11.99

That’s not counting the sales on Dishonored, Skyrim or XCOM since those are cheaper at GMG.

Wooooooooo! I picked up Skyrim for 22.50 at Jophiel’s GMG link, and when my 2gig 7850 video card arrives, it’s coming with Far Cry 3! A good 24 hours for my gaming life.

OTOH, my GTS 250 is crapping out a lot - drivers crashing and recovering in Borderlands 2, and the same thing in Skyrim, with the occasional crash to desktop thrown in. Oh well, the 7850 should be here by Wednesday or earlier, so 5 days, tops. Still, I wanna play Skyrim! I’ve just escaped the first dragon attack and have to find my way to a village.

Far Cry 3 has gotten some nice reviews. I bought a 7950 a few weeks ago and got it bundled with as well. Looking forward to the release date

I had to finally pull the trigger on Saints Row the Third with all (or at least a shit-ton) of the DLC for $12.49.

Rome: Total War is 99¢ on Amazon. You’ll even get a $5 coupon for January game sales. You can’t afford NOT to buy it!

Speaking of, Amazon has started to populate its 2012 Editors Choice list. These are the games that the $5 coupons will apply towards in January. Note that the prices shown are the current prices; last year they put the stuff on rotating sales throughout the month and allowed you to stack the coupons on top of that.
