I’ve been meaning to get around to making a thread like this, but never got around to it. But now that the Christmas sale coupons are going to expire in a few days, I figured I’d get the ball rolling and help people find each other.

This thread will be for finding people to give spare gifts to, to give away coupons, or to trade extra games you happen to have via the steam trade system.

You can see what you have to trade by using the steam inventory button on the top right of the steam screen.

Anyway, I have a few spare coupons: 33% off Space Marine, 50% off Oddworld: Munch’s Odyssey, -50% off any Valve game, 75% off COD4: Modern Warfare. These (and all of the holiday sale coupons) expire at the end of the month, and I won’t be using them.

My steam name is senorbeef - be sure to post your name or profile url if you’re trying to trade with anyone.

I’m trying to flag you both down for the trade. It looks like Steam’s system is so clunky that both parties need to be actively participating to have a “trade” go through. I can’t just gift it.

As part of quitting WoW (I’m so bored with it), I just signed up for Steam. My gamertag (is that what you call it?) is Auriadne. I would like to buy Portal 2, but it’s waaay too expensive at $30. I could go to Best Buy and get it for $20, although I probably won’t. I have no idea how any of this works (how to add friends and talk to them and do stuff together). I would love a coupon, too, if it’s just going to go to waste. I’d offer to trade, but I don’t have any yet (that I know of).

I’d also like to try the co-op mode of Portal 2 after I’ve played it for a bit. Can you queue for co-ops with random people, or do you have to join together with a friend? I’ve done some online co-opping on Halo 2, but that was years ago on somebody else’s xbox. I’m on PC now.

Anyone please feel free add me! I don’t have any Steam friends, yet :slight_smile:

I believe that the coupons only work for games that had already been released during the Christmas sale.

Steam had to make them completely useless, you know :wink:
