Yeah the matchmaking part of the Community system is probably my favorite so far. No more screwing around with server names and IP addresses when trying to start a group game. As SenorBeef mentions, you can just click Join Game to join up with a friend.
I like the fact that you can see what game and map your friends are playing and join them. Played a bunch of Fortress Forever (an excellent HL2 Team Fortress mod) last night, but my ping was bad. I think Steam may have been downloading The Ship Single Player in the background.
I also love The Ship and Day of Defeat (the original.)
I’ve been practicing with bots on CS:S. If you see me online, and want to kick my behind some, the password on the server will be cecil.
Actually I just loaded up Half-Life 2 to play online, and that was fine. I could see clearly even in areas I know I stumbled through on the game on my PC. CS, same thing. Well, I didn’t play but ran the 'video stress test and I could actually see. So I can play those.
