I watched the entire miniseries of Stephen King’s “Storm of the Century” on the SciFi channel yesterday and am wondering if I missed something…
The constable recognizes that the name of the bad guy, “Linoge,” is an anagram for Legion (refering to a Bible passage about Jesus casting out demon(s) into a group of pigs who subsequently run off a cliff to their demise…the demon is asked its name and it says “My name is Legion”). When the townspeople are debating whether or not to let Linoge take one of their children, the constable never reveals this connection. Not that that would have helped them decide not to save the many by “sacrificing” a single child, and Linoge was obviously not the kind of person anyone would voluntarily surrender a child to…but it leaves this dangling plot thread that really bothers me.
I am in the process of moving and was packing all during the series, so it is possible I missed something…
Not sure I understand the question. . . you feel that their not talking about the Linoge/Legion connection left a plot point dangling? I didn’t feel it left anything dangling; it was just a verbal game S. King was playing, making the guy’s name an amagram for “Legion.” One guy happened to notice the connection. (Though I could have missed something there myself.)

Well, I go by the old standard “Hang a gun on the wall in the first act and someone has to shoot it off by the third act”…it just felt funny that he would introduce this thread and then not do anything with it at all…
Glad others liked it besides me…remind me not to vacation on a small island in the winter…
