Well, I managed to squeeze into the upper-tier of posters at this board. That’s right! I now have four digits to my name reguarding posts. And really, how many of you have noticed? What can you say about me? How do you describe me? My writing style? My general philosophy?
That’s right, it is possible to post here without making an impact.
And that strangely enough is just fine with me.
So have your fun, your festivities. This is a post party, like all the others. I’ll be out watching the snow, and observing the masses.
Congrats. And by the way, it’s better to have 1,000 posts and be considered non-impactful than to have a quarter of that and be viewed as mildly insane.
I noticed you on all those race related threads you don’t like to post to. Your impact on me has been, um, impactful.
I have a feeling I have far more posts than you, yet my only impact has been my. . . that is the eloquence of. . . the insights that. . …
Bandwidth! I’ve taken up more than you. I’ve taken up more bandwidth than 90% of registered users. There, I knew I was good for something. Or nothing. Whatever.
Sterling!
What are you kidding?
On both Fathom and SDMB you are consistently one of the funniest, well researched, nicely balanced posters.
You supplied us with cool statistics after the election.
You always have good information about most comics.
You can place a one liner in a great debate without being over the top, or annoying.
You know how to use all of the UBB codes and they help make your points.
You were the second coming of Contestant 3!
Any time, in any thread, I see that you are the last poster I open it up just to see what you had to say. Even if it is a boring thread.
Woah, now my praise is going too far, you are going to expect me to boil your rabbit or something.
Anyway, happy 1000. Maybe someday, I will have that many.
iampunha, that’s crap. You’ve had plenty of impact around here. You’re always one of the first ones in with comfort, encouragement, congratulations, or whatever is needed.
SterlingNorth, I haven’t made much impact either, but don’t worry about it. Most of us don’t have a huge impact either, but it takes all of us to make things work–both the high-impact posters, and the rest of us, to read and enjoy!
Well I notice your posts, and I like to read them! You probably won’t believe this, but just the other day I saw a thread that you’d posted to, and said “hmmmmm. Sterling North, haven’t seen that name in a while - wonder what he’s up to.”
Where 'ya been, [said in a tone similar to asking about if you’ve been in Antarctica] Great Debates?
