Stick a fork in her: Clinton's done

yes, “doneness”. You mean it already existed? :smack:

Yep. Sorry about that.

ETA: Why don’t you see if you can sweet-talk a mod into changing it to say “finishiddity”?

I know. I’m picturing a giant baked turkey with her face attached.

yeah, I’m not much of a cook. Which doesn’t suggest that I’m not a good cook… I am, I just don’t cook too often.

well that’s the thing about hillary though… she’s perceived more as an android and not so human which explains her fall from grace… Obama has the charisma likeability factor going on… gravitas and all that. People are automatically drawn to him. Not so much hillary though…

Correct. Make sure you put it in her brownie.

 Gross.

I can’t say I feel too sorry for her but: Clinton soldiers on into a darkening horizon. I mean even her aids and close friends are all but throwing in the towel.

I do hope th nastiness she’s been bringing out these last couple days fizzles and she can back Obama when he finally get’s the nod.

Booooooo.

Okay. I laughed. A little. I’m not proud of it.

Say what you will about her, and I have, I see absolutely no reason she will not back Obama to the hilt if he wins the nod.

With the way she has been acting the past few days it is almost as if her campaign’s strategy is to let Obama secure the win by taking on a negative tough-gal tone (which turns off alot of voters I think), so that no one can say she backed down. It’s almost like they know something we don’t know, and made some agreements behind closed doors so to speak. Maybe she will be the VP candidate…after Obama wins the nomination. It would be better for her to be a VP (still a first) than an also-ran senator. That way her and Bill are in the White House again, pulling strings and influencing policy. Which is better than nothing…

Hmmmm…so after the Clintons get Obama assassinated she would be prez.

Absolutely wrong. Her desire to be influential and powerful is far better served by being a Senator from New York. A Vice-President only has as much power as the President allows. If the VP candidate is not Bill Richardson, it will be someone who did not even run for President.

I think a woman like HRC with BJC working together behind the scenes would be able to influence quite strongly.

With these latest attacks of Hillary’s, she is seriously beginning to alienate me.

Today’s slam honestly felt like I was watching a WWE grudge match (note: I do not watch WWE I am JUST COMPARING OKAY). I mean, she pretty much just said “meet me at the Ohiodome and we’ll settle this on the mat. Fear the Clinton Crippler.”

In a way, though, this is a good strategy. The general public isn’t going to care that this is a days-old mailing, or that these are criticisms of her health care plan that Obama has already brought up to her face in previous debates. What she’s doing is raising the stakes as high as she can, because at this point she has nothing to lose, and if she can manage to get Obama to stumble in the face of her aggression it could actually score her some points (from dumb people who are idiots).

What a great contrast to the half-concession at the last debate. And for a second there I thought she was going to take a turn for the admirable.

It is some kind of a sign that she is recycling “outrage” now. These mailings, and “outrage” about them, were an item three weeks ago, and were then covered by factcheck. FWIW Factcheck did think that they were slightly misleading and also felt that the Clinton team objection to them then as similar to the Harry and Louise campaign was misleading as well.

It didn’t get any traction then, why does she think it will three weeks later?

With all the talk of her “valediction,” she needed to show that she’s still serious about the race. To her credit, she’s attacking Obama in ways that matter relatively little in the general. McCain isn’t going to use video of Hillary criticizing Obama in this way. If she came out and said she didn’t think he was qualified to be CinC, that would be a different story. We may yet see that, but it isn’t happening now.

It is an odd approach though, politically. Does she really need to raise the profile of her position on NAFTA? Even if you believe she privately opposed it, her public statements are, at best, confusing. And I’ve got to think that most voters will see through the health care stuff. After all, she’s been touting these mandates for months now. At best, her argument is they don’t force people to buy it who can’t afford it because everyone will be able to afford it. That’s sketchy, but even if true, it is a rebuttal. It doesn’t show that the original statement was a dirty lie, as she portrays it.

BJ C? I need to get out more!!!

Rereading my post, it might sound like I think it will matter (even though you probably weren’t responding to me!). I don’t. The public hasn’t responded to any of this negativity, I just think that this is the corner Hillary’s been backed into.

For the uninitiated, this is an Arrested Development quote.
About HRC? Jesus that woman makes me angry. Really. Every time I feel sorry about the fact that she’s losing and will never be president she turns around and makes me hate her again.

The shitty thing about all of this though is that she can do nothing to win, and the harder she fights the worse she makes it for the Democrats in the general.

Just saw the two clips of her on the News

The mocking video? Ewww… The desperation of that woman gives me the willies. I feel like I need a shower after watching that

The “Shame on you Barack Obama” video. Also smacks of desperation. I love Barack Obama’s response though… “They are…accurate”

Just can’t wait for this to be done. March 4 can’t come soon enough…

But she has, essentially no shame. I just read an article about how she discredited some 12 year old rape victim many years ago as a lawyer

Apparently this is due to her “You bloom where you are planted” philosophy of winning regardless of how. Anyway it is pretty telling and I’m not terribly surprised that she is reacting the way she is now. It’s obvious she only cares about herself.
