I honestly don’t think I could vote for Hillary in the general election, anymore, if she managed to swipe the nomination.
Superdelegates announcing for Obama is picking up steam. Hillary’s team now starts to claim that winning anything at all, even one out of fifteen, or even not losing horribly in every state, means a victory for her … because he is trying to win. Y’know, doing things like giving speeches and talking to editorial boards. (Cheater.) Last minute whining about how unfair an established system is.
The only thing worse than losing is looking pathetic while you do.
The question isn’t if she’s done, she’s long done, the question is if she’ll be able to pull off a way to lose with some grace after this last gasp of pathos.
They’re throwing everything at this last firewall and hoping it sticks. If it does not, I’d anticipate a withdrawal rather than spend all this raised money in a lost cause. Hillary can run again. And that’s her money now, right? For any future political purpose she decides to put it to? 35 mil could go a long way in a senate race.
“It’s 3AM. Do you know where your terrorists are?”
Her chief weapon is FEAR. Fear and an almost fanatical devotion to…
Her TWO chief weapons are fear, an almost fanatical devotion to her own nomination, and a husband who…
I’ll come in again.
Meanwhile, let’s play a game, kids! Think quick, now…tell me who said this:
Jeopardy think music
Ready? Peek-a-boo! William Jefferson Clinton, campaigning for John Kerry in 1994
Well, let’s not go overboard on the Hillary criticism, now. She and her staff are doing and saying the sorts of things someone in her desperate position has to do and say to keep her ground troops motivated. So just think of it as the death throes of a wounded candidate, and let’s not get too exercised about it.
As I’ve said before, let’s remind ourselves that we are all on the same team, and that we are just picking a team captain. I have confidence that things will sort themselves out after Tuesday, so until then, I think we Obama supporters need to keep the venom at a minimum. After all, we do want to bring Hillary’s supporters along with us when the nomination is wrapped up.
This was a really interesting article pointing to what makes Obama different and what has hurt Hillary.
I do try not to personalize the criticism, but it’s difficult. I have MAJOR difficulties with the way she’s run her campaign, in the areas of both competence and principles. It’s been simply inept, in the hands of operatives of questionable ethics (Mark Penn’s firm is also handling McCain’s campaign…conflict of interest?). It’s been run (especially since Super Tuesday) more in the vein of the way we’ve seen Republican campaigns run in the last 8-12 years…fear, smear, fear, smear. I don’t like that.
For the record, I wasn’t directing my comment at you, jayjay. It was just a general comment.
Heh! No worries. I didn’t take it personally, really.
Obama should get that footage and use it in an ad. That’s Gold, Jerry! Gold!
Yeh, for sure. Key point, for me:
AUGH! Obviously, the “1994” in the spoiler box should have been “2004”…
Obama’s response:

I agree. I don’t think this sort of thing helps. I expect after Tuesday, this will become more abundantly clear.
That the the response of a president… ROCK ON OBAMA!
The Clinton’s chickens are coming home to roost! The fact is these sleazeballs have whored themslves out to too many people. So, I’m glad they are finally reaping their rewards! Look for a Hillary meltdown, followed by a divorce from Bill!
INDEED! And he’s got his own “3:00AM” commercial now: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=879o1_pxO0c
Oh she’s got to be steaming right about now.
Are her supporters trying to make her case worse than it already is? Does she have no clue how to campaign whatsoever?

and HRC’s response to being asked if she would “reject or denounce” that statement was
Only later having her campaign to realize how that makes her look after her Farakahn tactic and try for some late damage control.
This Clinton campaign will likely be studied by political operatives for years to come as a case study of how not to run for president. Amazing.
Mind you I believed that Obama would win well before he announced, but this Clinton team has run this campaign as badly as Bush has managed Iraq.
Tuesday night simply can not get here soon enough.
