Stick a fork in her: Clinton's done

Democrats really like to argue with one another. Republicans wait patiently to be told who they’re going to vote for.

</mostly kidding>

David Wilhelm - Bill Clinton’s 92’ Campaign Manager then DNC Chair just stepped up to the plate for Obama. He’s offered his endorsement and any help he can give.

People are gravitating to Obama and it’s becoming obvious that it’s not because he’s a good orator, it’s because he is begining to resonate with people as a movement/true change candidate. All the arrows are pointing towards Clinton bowing out and Obama running the train.

So you did (don’t know how I missed that). Still, the democratic turnout fits the pattern of the whole campaign, including the time before the either parties nomination was assured. That is an important thing and should let us make valid predictions.

 “Daisy”?

I haven’t seen your post or the one he was responding to, but it’s obviously a Goldwater reference. I assume you said something people about a poor, abused GOPer.

-Joe

As in Johnson’s famous commercial from the '64 race.

He’s talking about your “the stakes are too high” thing.

Daisy.

“The stakes are too high”? Give me a break. What incredibly overstated rhetoric.

CNN is reporting that Clinton is running an ad in Wisconsin that criticizes Obama for not debating her in Wisconsin. They’re debating two more times this month, of course, just not in Wisconsin. I keep hearing people say ‘watch out for more Clinton dirty tricks,’ but that’s actually kind of pathetic.

Negative campaigning in WI is only going to hurt her campaign. I mean she risks letting on that she’s not ultimately in the same boat with Obama - dems fighting for the same cause. And Obama with his non-negatives, only comes out looking all the wiser.

Personally, I’m not counting Clinton out until her candidacy has had a stake driven through its heart, its coffin has been cemented over and it is lying ten feet below the bottom of the Ohio River. Metaphorically speaking, of course.

Till then, there are battles to be fought and primaries to be won by Obama.

Ohio - March 4th.

I still think HRC would beat McCain in a walk, but, yes, the stakes are that high, too high to play into the Pubs’ hands on any point at any time. We simply cannot afford another Republican administration, however far it would be an improvement over the present one, at this point in our history.

Besides, I’m just a bit worried about McCain, himself, in the Oval Office. Yes, he’s a good guy, an honest guy, a smart guy, with a long record of honorable service military and political. But he’s also really old and really ill-tempered and hotheaded, everybody around him seems to agree. Not what we need at the helm in a time of high international tensions.

Yup. You can watch it on youtube, here.

By contrast, here is Obama’s latest ad running in Wisconsin.

I thought it was buried at a crossroads with a stake through its heart. I’m not sure that the Ohio River would do it.

You gotta make sure you do it right in these cases.

Nuke it from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.

Hillary’s ad seems kind of impersonal. More like calling someone a “chicken”.

HRC wants to freeze foreclosures. What does tha mean? SOunds like she wants to do “something” about all the foreclosures, but freeze them? until when? And to what end?

That Hillary ad just reeks of desperation to me.

Gangster Octopus Approves this Message

A sigh of relief rises from Republican National Headquarters, as their one and only hope of victory (millions of pissed-off Democratic voters staying home) materializes before their eyes.

Freezing foreclosures is a terrible idea. It sends a message to investors that the government can change the terms of existing contracts at will so don’t bother investing in America because we will take your money and than change the rules.

Ugh. If she’s so worried about Wisconsin, maybe she should actually BE in Wisconsin. At least Obama’s there giving the state some attention while she’s leapt ahead to Texas.

Obama should just tell her ‘we’ll see how things play out.’
