At last glance, Paulding Humane Society was in 11th place in the Shelter Challenge, which ends at midnight tonight.
Johnny L A and I would really like to see PHS at least in the “Top Ten”, even if it means number 10!
I figgered we might need some kinda “motivation” so I chose this tune for our “fight song”:

I got in a couple of extra over the weekend.
Results from this morning show that we didn’t budge from 11th place, but I know for sure it wasn’t because we all didn’t give it our best shot.
I forgot to click to see how many Georgia shelters participated, and now I can’t get to that page, but I think it was more than 300 (please correct me if I am wrong), so 11th place is a great effort.

An update: 400 shelters participated, 44 of which had no ranking, so we did great at #11!

That’s nothing to sneeze at! I just wish Paulding had made the Top 10.
Good Job and good luck with the continued fundraising efforts. If I may make a small suggestion. Professional grant writers are very good at what they do, finding potential places to apply for grants. Unfortunately they cost money. NBut you would be surprised. If you poted an ad on Craigslist or a local message board you may just find that someone with considerable experience will lend you their services doing basic research and maybe compiling grants.
I am a board member with the Friends of Folsom Zoo Sanctuary and we are lucky enough to have recently gotten two experienced grant writers helping us and it is really a huge help.
