That brings up a new page where you can then vote for my shelter by typing the words ** Paulding Humane** as the name of the shelter, and Georgia as the state. Then click vote** and **to confirm, on the next page you will see a picture of an animal, and you’re asked to type in the name of the animal to confirm your vote.
We are currently in 13th place in our state and we have gotten as high as 9th.
You can vote from anywhere on the planet, even though the shelter is in the US, and you can do so once a day.
We have until July 26th to get to number one.

Well, here we are… 18 days to the finish line.
I don’t know if we can place close enough for my shelter to get anything, but like that cartoon showing the frog about to be swallowed by the heron, I’m not giving up!
Whatever can happen and whoever can make it happen, it’s going to happen if it’s meant to, and guess what?
If it doesn’t happen for Paulding Humane Society, at least it will have happened for some organizations, and some animals’ lives will be (will have been) spared.
Also, it warms my heart to know that y’all came together because I asked you to.

Y’all were great, and as Yogi Berra once said, “it ain’t over till it’s over”, but I’m a realist too and so I know it isn’t always possible to get a “last minute save”.

I got today’s vote in, and we’re still at #11. Man, I wish we could pull people together so we can end in the Top 10! It may not get any money for Paulding, butit would be a sybiolic victory for a small-town shelter to be in the Top 10 against Atlanta.
So let’s try to DO that, these last 2 days? Move us into at least the Top Ten, as John says?

I been goin’ nuts while my SIL is in the hospital on account of her stroke, but I have not lost a second of time telling people about animal welfare, getting on my “podium” about how it was US who domesticated THEM, and where would we be NOW w/o our 4-footers?

We gotta save 'em! I know the economy sucks right now, but if you’ll give it some thought, they really helped to advance our civilization.
Also, I know I am speaking loosely,(meaning the animals we domesticated didn’t include JUST cats and dogs), but because all our shelters are over-populated by unwanted pets, I hope you will support THIS one or your own with a click to feed and vote.
Please remember this if nothing else: Those of them we domesticated, we are responsible for.
