Bump question: I already filed 2019 taxes but used credit-card to pay the amount of additional taxes I owed. Does this affect the stimulus-check distribution method?
I did leave banking info on file for the IRS in 2018 or prior returns, but not sure they’ll use it for the stimulus checks.
I would bet that they will direct deposit the amount into the bank account they have on file.
Around about the 17th, you should be able to check on this page, using the button on the right for Filers when it becomes active.
Heck, apparently people are already getting the payment deposited; it may land in your account before then.
Only on Fannie & Freddie mortgages, which are about half of the mortgages out there. It is not all lenders.
We have no issues paying our mortgage, but if we were in that position, our lender is definitely not offering a 90 day grace period, waiver of late fees or non-reporting.
