I checked your portfolio this morning and followed you into the Teradyne jump. But then, the bottom fell out - how did you know to get out?
I’ve gotten burned before by being greedy so now I get out as soon as I make a profit, in this case $2200. I had no idea it would go down again or I would have turned around and shorted it.
It’s down 9 points right now!
Did you notice that I shorted it at first? That was a mistake but I should have left it that way.
I’d have made $12,000 instead of only $2200!
Oh well. Still number 1

Somethings screwy. A couple of my stocks have experienced a %100 drop, As I know that many companies can’t have gone out of business today, I’m not too concerned. But, damn it, it makes me look like a loser, rather than the winner I know I am
Could they have had a merger? That might take them off the exchange, and you’d get the drop you’re seeing. In the real world, it would be replaced with new shares of the combined corporation, but maybe the game doesn’t deal with that sort of stuff correctly.

After nearly three hundred trades, I kind of caught on. Basically, I thought like a stockbroker. All reason was tossed out the window and replaced with an incredible amount of paranoia and fear. I was hunched over my screen waiting for any kind of movement and then reacted as fast as I could.
I also bought and sold huge amounts of stock and sold them relatively fast. Even mere gain of $.10 per share is pretty good when you have 65,000.00 shares.
oldscratch- According to Yahoo! Finance, the last trade of PCLN was at 4:01PM and was 5 1/8. FWIW.
