Stop claiming it was a joke, you piece of crap

No coffee?? In that case, temporary mental instability is always a valid excuse.
Hope you get better.

35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,
36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?
38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you?
39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

Anomalous1: STOP VIRTUE SIGNALLING YOU LEFT WING LOON!

Nice!

Thanks!

Not applicable - not a religious zealot Republican.

Doesn’t matter. Still shows you for the selfish unfeeling troll you are. Helping other people, showing compassion, loving they neighbor, doing good, those are only ‘virtue signalling’ to you. They’re wrong to you because those people who do this think they’re better than you and how dare they do things you don’t want to do.

Which prompts the question- what standards Do Republicans adhere to anymore? It isn’t intellectual honesty. It sure isn’t accurate arithmetic. From here it looks like the common denominator is hatred, of a white supremacist variety. And conspiracy theories, lots of bullshit conspiracy theories. Throw in a yen for deflection and changing the subject and it looks like I am onto something.

Except he wasn’t. There were three distinct things wrong with the sentence you’re referencing but accusing an entire people of being rapists and murderers is not one of them. I don’t know why people didn’t focus on the facts that: Mexico isn’t sending them (if anything they try to prevent non-Mexicans from completing their journey to America,) and that they are not even sending “their” best since a large number of illegal immigrants that cross the border aren’t even Mexican, and that those that do cross are not more likely to be violent felons. No, they have to focus on a slur that was not contained in the sentence, which can only be found by misreading “their” as “they’re”. It was an easy sentence to make fun of because not every politician lies three times in such a short sentence, but the easy mark was somehow botched.

Maintaining power is the only good. They can forgive anything except a loss.

That’s pretty fucking offensive. I think you should be fired from your job for being an offensive asshole.

That said, if someone penalizes you for saying something, how is that not interfering? Personally, I really don’t care what she or anyone else said, including you (I was being facetious above). The simple fact of the matter is, unless someone takes action, word have no effect on my life at all. Say whatever you want. I’ll still get up in the morning and my routine won’t change in the least. I think if more people spoke their mind without fear of reprisal the world would be a better place. At least you would know where they stand and you could make a more informed decision about whether you want to associate with that person. If people are afraid to speak out for fear of being fired or whatever, you might be hanging out with some of these people and not know it. But I guess ignorance is bliss.

So go ahead. Call me whatever your heart desires. Be as offensive as you can. To me it’s nothing more meaningful than a fly dying across town. I can make an informed judgement based on what I hear though. If I penalize people for saying stuff and they hold back because of it, I’ve taken that away. Do what you want. I really don’t care. I just thought it was ironic that people use offensive language to complain about being offensive, that’s all.

It’s His middle Name. Short for “Fucking.” And His last Name is Dammit.

You have 8 tentacles in your other life?

This is a lie, whether it’s on Roseanne’s part or yours … I don’t really care.

First off, calling black people “apes” has been a racist tradition for hundreds of years. It’s an attempt to paint black people as sub-human savages. It’s laughable to pretend that Roseanne just coincidentally happened on the racist slam that’s been circulating for over a century.

Secondly, this is not the first time that Roseanne has compared a black person to an ape. She called Susan Rice “a man with big swinging ape balls”. She’s well aware of the history of that slam - not above transphobia, either.

Third, Roseanne has claimed various things about what she though Valerie’s background is. She’s clearly changing her story to try and cover her ass. She claimed that she thought Jarrett was Persian and Jewish. Then she claimed that she thought Jarrett was white.

For the record, Valerie Jarrett was born in Iran to African-American parents. Her great-grandfather was the first African-American student at MIT. She was featured on the show, Finding Your Roots, and also has Native American and European ancestry. She is neither Persian nor Jewish, nor, to the sort of people who care about these things (ie - racists), white.

Roseanne called a black woman, “ape”, and there’s no reason to do that unless she’s referring to the racist slur against black people, because newsflash - we all look like apes.

I’m thinking yet another incarnation of Terrkrahoma.

Deliberate hypocrisy to get a rise out of people? Boooooringggg troll is boring.

Perhaps you and I define ‘offensive’ differently.

To me, if one is unaffected by it, if it is no more meaningful than a fly dying across town, it can hardly be offensive. For it to be offensive, you kinda have to be … offended. Right?

What’s the deal with alt-right snowflakes and the term “virtue signalling?” Not much can penetrate their tiny brains, but every time they level that accusation they are, in fact, claiming superiority. They are signalling their virtue.

Being denied the benefit of my attention is a penalty, no matter how you slice it.
Enjoy your penalty!

When ABC found out from her own words where Barr stands, didn’t ABC similarly have the right to decide not to associate with her? And doesn’t socially ostracizing a person who is a racist asshole or a sweary mary also constitute a “reprisal”?

Which (non-governmental) parts of our society are you proposing should just tolerate anything and suck it up, and which parts are free to act on their knowledge of a person’s revealed character?

If I go up to my hypothetical African-American boss and say, “Hey you orangutan nigger shithead, this country was better when you were more likely to be dangling on a noose than in a voting booth,” at what point does my boss’s right to free association become a factor? At what point does he get to say, “Well, I get to associate with whoever I want, and I’d really rather not associate with someone who believes that about me”?

“You get to say whatever offensive shit you want; I don’t get to say anything about it” is not a coherent speech norm. “You get to say whatever offensive shit you want; I’m not allowed to let your speech have any effect on how I see you as a person or whether I want to spend time with you/employ you/give you money” is completely insane.

Does any of this make sense to you?

Now keep in mind that the head exec who canceled “Roseanne” is black.

Whoops.

My (non-hypothetical, white, rich) boss said he would fire anyone making a racist remark. He warned us at an all-hands-on-deck meeting:

"We have zero tolerance for sexist or racist comments. I do NOT care if you THINK it’s just humor. One strike and you. Are. Out.

“Even if I didn’t think it was evil… and immature, I might add… what if theres a 1% chance something like that’ll slip out when talking to a client? Or a potential client? Which of course is what a stranger in a bar would be. I do not want a loose pistol like that associated with my company, even if they’re doing incredible work. I can find a decent human being that’ll do incredible work.”

ETA: just fyi, that was at a large ad agency, which are traditionally conservative and very privately-owned (by the opposite of snowflakes).

So the black boss and “political correctness” would probably have nothing to do with this…
