Storm songs?

I’m in the process (still) of designing my company’s website. Getting close.

I’d like to possibly add some music to the site, dealing with weather, storms, tornados, things of that ilk.

So far I’ve come up with Ella Fitzgerald and “Stormy Weather”

Jimi, and “In from the storm”

“Somewhere over the rainbow”

The song should either have lyrics relating to weather or using weather words. Songs with stormy sound effects (thunder, wind, etc) would work as well.

Even though Ella is talking about love, it’s still a good selection.

So, Dopers, any suggestions?

How about They Call the Wind Maria?

“Riders on the Storm” by The Doors

“Shelter from the Storm” by Bob Dylan

“Rain” by The Beatles

I went browsing Youtube and found some old favourites. Yes, I like Scorpions and I’m not afraid to admit it.

Whenever I think of stormy music, that’s what comes to mind.

You can listen to a part of it here. Wait until at least 30 seconds into it.

Rainy Night in Georgia - Brook Benton

Have You Ever Seen the Rain - Creedence Clearwater Revival

My Girl - The Temptations (“I got sunshine on a cloudy day…”)

Sanctum Sanctorum off The Damned’s Phantasmagoria has about 1:40 instrumental intro with rain and thunder in it.

Buckets of Rain - Bob Dylan

I Can See Clearly Now (The Rain Is Gone) - Johnny Nash

Crying in the Rain - The Everly Brothers

I hate myself for remembering this song, but…
Like Two Sparrows in a Hurricane

I know that you can’t use this song, but I can’t resist mentioning it. The Quiet Storm, by one of my favorite hip-hop groups, Mobb Deep. The song is full of violence and profanity, but it is one of my favorite songs by Mobb. The stormy opening is great, and the beat is like a steady, driving drumming on your window pain.

Anyway, of course you can’t use that song, but in a thread about stormy songs, I had to give it a shout out.

Cruel Sun - Rusted Root

Thunder Rolls - Garth Brooks

Here Comes the Sun - The Beatles

California Dreamin’ - The Mamas and the Papas (All the leaves are brown, and the sky is gray…)
