George Lucas would have had lawyers send cease & desist letters before the first tweet had a million views; I wonder what Disney is thinking about all this?
Surely they can’t just allow someone to make money as one of their IP characters, can they? Could they go so far as to make a case that he is simply using it (the whole Star Wars Stormtrooper mien) illegally and needs to stop?
ETA: It’s a cute idea; did he do this before the EmpTV Cribs thing?
Chad Vader did a parody, and got the LucasHammer dropped on them. Which is to say, Lucas liked the videos and the actor got voice work roles in several video games, Star Wars and Soul Calibur.
I think that’s roughly the same result the Robot Chicken Star Wars parodies got. Lucas is often amused by such things, and when he is, he doesn’t deploy the lawyers.
