I know there are several Straight Dope related member sites (member as in part of a group - you dirty birdy)

Are there any active Straight Dope related chat rooms?

There is an IRC channel that can be found on the Undernet servers at #straightdope. To connect you need to either download an IRC client, and then join the undernet server and type /join #straightdope or you can go to www.undernet.org, choose “Webchat” and join from there.

Somewhat related to the OP, I have Yahoo messenger on nearly constantly during the day…I’d love to hear from some fellow dopers from time to time!
