JColdfire as an American, I would like to point out that Slavery was fully and completely legal in the USA for many years. We look back on those times with shame and regret for treating human beings as if they were something less.
Some abortion opponents and animal rights activists feel similarly about the unborn and animals. They feel that in a more enlightened future, we will look back on today with shame and regret for the horrors being perpetrated against these groups.

And who knows, maybe abortions WILL one day be universally considered primitive and inhumane. But in some societies, this is clearly not the the case today.

Nah, it was a lovely choice of words. The building in which I work is currently being attended to by the industrial remediators. It’s a functional enough building for the most part, but of late chunks of the concrete façade have been falling off endangering the heads of passers by.

I also copied my original quote and your interpretation of said quote and asked how you derived your paraphrasing of it. It is clearly implied that the main issue of contention was whether it is a good idea have have sex with dogs, which is false (that is, “the main issue of contention was whether it is a good idea to have sex with dogs” is false"). It is also false that posting in a thread to make controversial statements about another thread constitutes “dropping” that issue.
