A boss of mine sent me an email once with picture of a motocyclist hanging from his helmet, imbedding in the back of a big truck that he had hit. I think the guy actually survived his injuries, but it gave me a very sick shock when I realized what I was looking at in the picture. I asked my boss not to send me pictures like that. There are people in the world who don’t realize that not everyone wants to see a snuff film. (Not that this was a snuff film - I thought it was at first, though.)
Exactly why I no longer check out the “Fauxtography” section on the snopes message board. I don’t think I’ve don’t so since I saw yet another idiot had yet again posted a thread on “gruesome photo, is this real?” about a baby that had accidentally strangled in a crib. Fuck, just reading the title disturbs me enough, a big HELL NO on clicking on the link.
Mr. Dibble, there was a time when I would assume that was an act of the S.A.P.
I hope that’s not the case anymore, rather, a suicide, as horrific as that is.
