Strange prejudices you have

I do think less of you. This last bit of information has nothing to do with what college I attended, but the state of the economy and factors I can not control. I will never communicate with you again. You don’t even live in the same country as I do, but you’re making big assumptions about my state of employment. Many full time teachers subbed before getting their jobs.

Since you look down at subs, I hope your daughter/son (since you clear have at least one child), is sent home every time their regular teacher is absent. Just so you know, even private schools have subs. Since you’ve ALWAYS been employed I’m sure you have enough money to pay for your child to be babysat or put in daycare for the say. I’m always sure since you’ve always been employed you have endless sick/personal days to take the day off if said teacher is out.

However, I suppose if I wanted to take blood (which I find personally disguisting) and work longer hours and more days, for the same pay as a full time perm teacher, I would take the classes and get a job as nurse. A job which is always in demand in my area. I suppose the HIGH turn over shows what a dream of a job it truly is, Ms. never been unemployed.

I suppose I’ll continue being stupid and bid my time while I wait for a job that has the same, if not more, starting salary as a nurse for less hours per day and a 190 (including in staff meetings where children aren’t at school) day work year.

Call me you want. I wasn’t aware my telephone rang. Is this the type of language used in community college?

Most schools will not take all of your credits. You even said you have to choose the right classes. What are these right classes.

I suppose you if you do well on your SAT/ACT and have a good gpa, you might get to go to university for free or very cheaply for all four years.

I think the problem with most community college goers is they can just not accept the fact that they couldn’t get into a four year school for one reason or another. They want to blame price. That IMO is a sob story. Lemme guess, your bus was late/ your car broke down on the way to give in your application to some great school.

Play the hand you were dealt…

For what it’s worth, I taught in a public high school for several years, and as laughable as some of the subs they sent us over the years were, your apparent ignorance (on a multitude of subjects) will hopefully make ANY school principal who comes across your resume toss it right in the good ol’ shitcan, straightaway.

Obese people are sloppy, self- indulgent, lack discipline and probably have poor impulse control. When I see overweight people I often assume that they don’t take responsibility for their own lives. Same with people who smoke.
People who watch a lot of TV are intellectually lazy.
People who have multiple cats are mentally ill.
People who post a lot on message boards have sad and lonely lives.
Women who drive SUVs enjoy spending their families’ money on a status symbol more than saving money on gas.

You are missing out! Pick up anything by Robin Hobb and I think you’ll change your mind!

Great sense of humor you’ve got there, Trubie. Hint: sarcasm/I was kidding.

I have to agree with you about the milk thing, though. Milk is vile.

You’re such a genius. I can tell you’re high educated. Shitcan. Wow, your prose would make Shakespeare jizz in his knickers. Taking one sentence of context. That’s NOT ignornant.

I’ll smile knowing how heartbroken you are when I get a full time teaching position.

I think Shakespeare would have used shitcan if he had known about it. He definitely wasn’t above being earthy if he thought it useful.

“high educated”? “ignornant”?

Are you for real?

So if you were offered a full time teaching gig at a community college you’d turn it down flat yes?

Yes. Salutes the grammar nazi

While I’m not qualified nor certified to teach at the college level, if I was I wouldn’t teach at a community college.

Don’t fucking call me a nazi.

Just out of curiosity . . . how old are you?

I don’t like revealing personal details online. So, I’ll just say early 20s.

Fair enough, privacy is important. Would you be willing to share where you went to college?

Ah. Well, that explains a lot.

No, only because if I do you’ll know the state I live in.

I’ll add people that eat chili. Only while eating it or talking about eating it though.

Now that you’ve said that revealing the name of the college would reveal the state you’re in. If you hadn’t just said that, you could have named the college and no one could have reasonably presumed you were in that state, since people study out of state or move out of state all the time.
