Okay, First off I am under the care of a doc already, this is not for medical advice or diagnosis of any kind.
I had a tubal in 2003. I was supposed to start my cycle Sept. 23rd…It is still not here and I am having major pregnancy symptoms, morning sickness, tieredness, tender breasts, all that “fun” stuff. My cycles up to this point have always been pretty much right on time, most days late has been 3, but I chaulk this up to mathmatics due to a 28 day cycle. I know pregnancy after a tubal is like getting struck by lightning dang near so I set up an appointment, go in and get blood work up done which is all perfectly normal…I am apparently pretty healthy. I have an ultrasound set up for the 18th of this month so I will find out then.
That however was a long wait so in the meantime I was looking around online to see if anyone else went through this. There is an alarming amount of sites with an alarming amount of people that have indeed gone through this exact thing but no one anywhere has put up what caused it to happen in the first place. My questions are what could cause this to happen. Is it a biological thing that happens when you are a child bearer and then just stop having babies and your body freaks out thinking it should be so you have the symptoms? I don’t think in my case it would be mental due to the fact I have been perfectly happy NOT having another kid, got three that I love but drive me nuts daily. I am not worried about being pregnant even now. I know there has to be another answer. Any ideas??
Uhhh … someone needs to make a quick call to the Pope?
The ultrasound is NOT to detect the non existent baby but to check for other problems that could be causing what I am going through. Blood work up showed no HcG at all and urine tests have come back negative as well. Should have made that a bit more clear. Sorry

How old are you? Early menopause perhaps?
I am 33 years old…And menopause has a whole other host of symptoms that are not like pregnancy at all. I have no hot and cold flashes, no depression, no unwanted facial hair (or wanted for that matter) and based on the age ranges of women that have had tubals in the posts I have read that are going through this same what ever it is, I am not sure that could be it…Ages are anywheres from 24 years old and up. Plus my blood work came back as normal, NOTHING going on at all. No menopausal stuff, no pregnancy stuff, no anemia, or any vitamin defficancy, everything there is as it should be for a healthy 33 year old with no medical issues what so ever. My urine was equally void of anything at all. But something is causing, not only me, but lots of other women to have these symptoms. I would say it is all in our minds had I not had the symptoms before ever reading any of those posts and without knowing it happens to lots of people.
Heh, I got pregnant well after having the old style tubal where they made a loop and bound it with some sort of band … they stopped doing it that way and now actually cut the tube now.
Did they run a complete metabolic panel on you?
Comprehensive Metabolic Panel and a complete blood count are two of the blood tests they ran as well as a complete UA testing for everything from pregnancy to the gravity and everything in between. Had absolutely no issues come up in any of it.
Questions about specific medical issues are better suited to IMHO than GQ.

How severe are your symptoms? As I’ve gotten older, I’ve started having pregnancy-like symptoms before my periods (and my periods themselves have gotten heavier). I’m 38 and have had two kids, the last one at 34. I get tender breasts, slight lightheadedness, mild nausea, and tiredness. For me, it’s all pretty mild and I’ve just chalked it up to hormone changes as I’m aging, but it’s a definite change I’m experiencing.
Did they do a blood test or a urine test for pregnancy? While the urine tests are pretty damn good, the blood tests *are *more accurate.
I had one of each on the same day. They bumped my ultrasound up, had it yesterday. Had some stuff going on but I am now very impatiently waiting for the results of that.
I don’t get it. Your post starts with a disclaimer stating that you’re not asking for a diagnosis. You then immediately list symptoms and ask for a diagnosis. Did you include that disclaimer so that you could point to it when posters like myself arrive and say “See! I wasn’t asking for a diagnosis!”?
And no, I’m not typically this ornery.
