I was just scrolling through, reading some threads, and suddenly my window transformed into one as though I’d clicked to post into the thread.
In the box where we typically type in our posts were everybody’s posts from the thread, with commands for bolding, italics and quoting in brackets as though they’d just been typed. It looked as though I could have modified people’s posts if I’d so chose.
This happened to me a couple of times over the course of the past half-hour. Clicking the ‘back’ button returned me to my regularly scheduled thread.
What’s up with that? Is this occurring with anyone else?
If it happens again, I’m changing Stoidela’s posts to read, “I wanna do for George W. what Monica did for Bill.”
I’ll alert the authorities… could you make a couple of screen shots and mail them to Tubadiva@aol.com when it happens again (just press “print screen” on a Windows machine, and “paste” in a graphics program like Paint Shop)?
This could be the First Manifestation of Moderatordom for Milo.
I’ve heard vague whisperings of this sort of thing.
And I’ve heard that John Corrado and UncleBeer are tired of being the only Right Wing Loonies with moderator powers…at the semi-monthly Moderator Orgies, manhattan and Gaudere and Alphagene and TVeblen are always giving them hotfoots and putting up buckets of water over their doors.
If this is what I’m thinking of, it has happened to me a couple of times before as well. I just always figured it as a strange glitch–it never occurred to me to think devious thoughts like changing posts (like Milo). I just always hit the ‘back’ button and go on.
Find the “My Computer” icon on the Desktop (what you see when all windows are minimized). Right-click on it, then click on “Properties”. That should bring up a little window that displays your CPU, RAM, and manufacturer, and maybe a few other nifty tidbits of info.
