Strangely pleasurable sensations

Here’s a weird one. Taking off socks, when they’re sticking to my feet (like if I got extra sweaty or something). It sort of tickles, but it feels SOOOOO good.

Get this – I have a hairdresser who is a straight single guy! And he plays with my hair, which is one of my favorite things in the world. Mmmmmmm.

Having the dentist clean and polish my teeth makes me …uhhh…very happy. Not as happy as getting a tattoo, but close.

Trip to the dentist, anyone?

I agree with the socks one. It is strangely pleasurable to unstick a sock at the end of a long day of walking about.

When I was a kid my dad would play with my ear constantly (if we were sat watching TV. I am not saying he’d follow me everywhere playing with the ear). I liked that (although thinking about it now makes me shudder). I do the same to my nieces.

A manually induced sneeze. One that brings tears to the eyes!

Cracking joints.

The rare occasions when massaging my neck and stretching it actually does the trick.

A sustained burp (I think I did the longest burp in my life today!)

Finally finding the itch on the back.

A full body stretch after hours in an office chair (the kind where you do a sort of strong-man pose and then a post-performance gymnastic pose)

A cool breeze on a hot day.

I could go on…

…And I will (a few weeks later  )

Becoming dizzy for a sustained period. This just happened to me, I was sat down, so I was ok, but it felt like my sense of being upright was disengaged for about 6 seconds. That was cool.

I always thought this was a weird thing for me to find enjoyable… but might as well mention it.

After you’ve been drinking soda or something, and you burp through your nose, and your nose kinda burns and tingles for a minute, I love that.

hehe! one of my favorite movies.

I think the other one was dipping your hand in a vat of rice or something
and I second the rubbing the tip of my tongue against the roof of my mouse – 10x better when someone else does it.

Also, after sex, if I get my right ass cheek lightly rubbed. only my right – doesn’t work with the left. It’s a strange sensation.

Reading this thread has made me realize I’m not as weird as I thought I was. I, too, am a lip biter. The pain feels so good. It’s especially best after putting on lipstick and it dries.

I also like my hair washed and my head massaged. THe haircut scene in the move, “Phenomenon” was fantastic. Just very subtly errotic. I love to have my hair pulled too.

I have to agree with loving the sensation of immersing my hand in a bunch of dry rice or beans. MMmmmm.

And my ankles, oh my ankles. This is a recently discovered errogenous zone for me. My husband and I went to a crowded restaurant the other night and had a long wait in the lobby before being seated. Since it was crowded I sat down but my hubby just squatted down beside me with his back against a wall and sort of absent mindedly played with my naked ankle the whole time. I thought we were going to have to go out to the car for a few minutes!! I managed to control myself though. Through dinner anyway.

Something no one else has mentioned is that feeling you get when you are about to fall. I was addicted to this as a kid and I would climb up to sit on the very top bar of the swingset, let go of everything with my hands and then look up in the sky. It would make my heart constrict, give me a sudden sense of vertigo and take my breath away. I loved it!! (I didn’t actually fall, just sort of tricked myself into thinking I was) I can still get it a little now by going out to the end of a pier in the lake I live on and looking up. Anyone else know what I’m talking about? It’s pure adreniline. I would probably love skydiving.

I hate to admit that I actually like a Martha Stewart product… My wife bought some bed linens a couple years ago, and I lie the way the pillowcases tickle my nose. I don’t know what’s different about them, but regular Percale is too smooth to do the trick.

YES, i feel the same way. That sharp metal thingy cleaning my teeth and massaging my gums…feels good!!

For all the people who love haircuts/shampoos/head scratches, you’ve got to try the Tingler. It’s a spidery looking 10-pronged thing that you rub on your scalp. I know I’m not supposed to post advertisements on here, but it certainly falls within the thread topic. I have one myself and it’s amazing. Everyone I’ve used it on has loved it as well. The common response is an instant “Oh my god!” followed by goosebumps and “I need one of these.”

Have any other dopers used this thing?

I’m pretty sure there has been more than one, though.

Put me down on the list for the hair razor thing…

To add a little to the eargasm idea, I’ve always liked submerging myself in the bath then tilting my head so the water rushes into me ears!

I enjoy the feeling you get when you let water run up your nose underwater, though it becomes difficult to handle for any length of time. Nothing else feels like that!

I love getting fine pieces of material, like shredded tissue, hairs or paper edge and running it along my face. It tickles like hell, and I can never keep it up for long, but I love the feeling. The groove just above the chin is the best place to do it!

Licking the roof of my mouth also provides a similar great, but unsustainable, feeling. To better that I run my index finger around my tongue.

For something more large scale, I relish the intensity of screwing up whilst trying to surf (preferably bodysurfing, so you have no board) getting dragged under for a good ten seconds, whilst being flipped across every axis and knocked onto the seabed, then finally coming up gasping and disorientated. I’ve been known to set this up on purpose, though only on modest waves.

On a similar theme, after riding a snowboard off-piste I find no sensation comparable. Total silence except for a faint sliding noise, this magical gliding and the ability to maintain high speeds without feeling the slightest bump. It’s literally is powder surfing, and for lack of better words – you just feel like the coolest damn person on the planet. (Please note that I am very conscious of avalanche dangers!)

I like peeing after an orgasm.

I should clarify that: not immediately after an orgasm. I’m not into watersports. Not that there’s anything wrong with that…

No, I mean, within a couple of minutes after an orgasm, while the prostate is still somewhat engorged and sensitive. Sequence: cum —> cuddle cuddle —> go pee —> aaaahhhhh.

Just in case there was any question.

I love a good eargasm!

Thank you!

The opening credits of the movie *Amelie * had a whole bunch of these.

A few of my favorites:
The eargasm. I don’t use a Q-tip, but the little glass knob on the end of a pin.
Nubbling the eraser on the end of a pencil. Tastes good, too.
Squeezing my fingers into holes.
Postponing the quenching of my thirst, while I’m holding a tall glass of water.
A cat against my bare skin.

I love the whole salon experience too. Having my hair cut, nails painted or any type of body grooming done by another makes me feel quite light headed. Nothing beats a good back rub for me, actually getting a good one is the hard part.

The skin on the backs of my ring fingers is really smooth, and I’m constantly rubbing at it with my thumbs. Dunno why, but I love the sensation.

I’m scary in stores that have lots of microfiber clothing. I want to touch all of it. Soft fabrics cause a number of compulsions in me, first to buy, then to feel, especially against my lips.

The smell of skunk is weirdly invigorating for me. It’s like a tickle or something. Can’t explain.

My teeth are sometimes sensitive to cold, so I find myself breathing through my teeth to get that awful twingy tingle.

Downing a big gulp of a cold highly carbonated beverage first thing in the morning. It burns in an amazingly refreshing way. Same thing if I have a sore throat. Ooh.

At those little stands you see in malls you can get a head scratching/massaging device made of wire that looks like a miniature bird cage with no bottom.

Yeeeeeeowwwwww! Feels great.

Marine_One beat me to cracking the bubbles under the ice on puddles (I was brought up on that!), and jsgoddess beat me to the skunk smell (great if it’s not too strong!), so I’m left with only a few.

Plucking hairs that grow in strange places on my ears and whiskers from my moustache that won’t stay where they’re put both give that little stab of pain that so many posters seem to like.

I also like pressing a cracker (or even a cookie if I have no crackers, but it’s not the same) against the roof of my mouth until it softens with saliva and I can rub it into mush.

Then there’s the burn in my fingers after chopping peppers. The fingerprint side doesn’t feel it much, but the back just above the nail has much thinner skin and can still get a tingle the next day, no matter how much you wash your hands. Lick the fingers and your tongue can feel it too.
