Stranger than the average spam

I got this one (more likely a phishing expedishun) today:

You can tell somebody put some thought into that one. This, apparently, is somebody’s attempt to get past the spam filters. If so, it didn’t work.

In other news, somebody at pestphotoshop dot com advises me of a similar offer, actual checks for which went out to over forty-one thousand people last week. Seems like the above folks still have quite a ways to go to match that!

I keep getting emails (in my spam folder) saying that I have a Whatsapp voicemail. I don’t use Whatsapp.

The links in the mail are to seemingly random domains that have nothing to do with Whatsapp. Of course, I’m knowledgeable enough not to click on links in suspicious emails but I’m sure there are people who fall for it.

I’ve gotten some stuff that has something that looks like a link but is actually a link to malware. If you mouse over the supposed link and see nothing, don’t touch it.
I’ve been getting mail with title “additional information the amazon site” like this.

I just checked my spam folder (after a fond absence of several days) and found several e-mails from “Michael”.

“Michael” offered me several vague but lucrative employment/moneymaking opportunities whose nature was incomprehensible based on the message headers, then apparently got cranky when I didn’t respond, because the last one was titled “3d And Final Warning”.

I guess I’m really in trouble now. :frowning:

I like the ones where the first and only email is the “3rd and Final Warning”. But it’s still not as good as the one where you get 3 young pigs, paint the number 1 on both sides of one pig, the number 3 on the sides of another pig, and the number 4 on the sides of the last pig, grease them up well with vasoline, and in the middle of the night let them loose in your rival high school through a window you jimmied open.

I am still getting Nigerian emails in my SPAM Inbox.
It has been, like ages, since we have getting these emails.
Still waiting for my check for 50 million USD from 1997.

I keep getting invitations and offers from people in “Cambridge”. There is a town called Cambridge a few miles away, but I’m not sure how the name got linked to so much spam. Perhaps Cambridge is the new Nigeria?
