Just finished binge watching season one and that last episode left me wondering about a lot of things.
Why did Mathew Modine and Not-Catherine Hicks shut down Hawkin’s National Labs at the end? It made absolutely no sense to me. Even if he was sure Wynona Ryder and the Sheriff were going to die in the Upside Down, it was still there. And they had no idea Eleven was dead.
How did they explain Will coming back? He just goes to school like nothing happened and the whole town forgets his funeral with the body? How come the shadow government doesn’t know Will is back?
Where is Wynona’s oldest son going? Was this explained? And I know Boyfriend redeemed himself by batting down The Monster but Sis is a-OK with him calling her a slut in such a public and demeaning way?
I really enjoyed the show but the way Modine just up and left with only “Will will never get out” as a reason was a major disappointment.
Netflix Originals, with a handful of exceptions, drop the whole season at once. The exceptions, mostly, are marked ‘new episodes weekly’. The only exception I can think of is the anime Little Witch Academia, which split the Japanese season into two in English and dropped them a couple months apart.
So I started watching season 2 and got to the scene were Will is being examined and had to stop the show to catch my breath and gather myself.
That’s Sean Astin and Paul Reiser? The last time I saw Astin he was a boyish hobbit and if I hadn’t read Paul Reiser’s name in the beginning credits, I would have never recognized him. I’d still be watching and wondering were I knew this actor from.
I think it was Steve’s friend who spray-painted the town about Nancy. After Steve confronts that friend, and then gets beaten up by Jonathan, he starts trying to make amends by cleaning up what his ex-friend did.
People keep saying this based on Stranger Things, and I’m not sure what they’re getting at. Don’t get me wrong, she’s a great actress, but playing Eleven doesn’t show how incredibly talented she is. Her role as Madison in Intruders does. Eleven is pretty simplistic. Madison is terrifying.
