Strangers on the shore

A giant kangaroo on the Lake Michigan shore today? Is the world turning upside down?

Acker Bilk?

Well, it’s April 1, and almost all the snow is gone in the UP. Kangaroos on Lake Michigan don’t surprise me at all; we’re obviously in grip some sort of strange warming effect. I’ll keep an eye out for flamingos.

I think that’s Acker Bilk waving his antenna.

That’s up in Qadgop’s stomping grounds, so it doesn’t seem at all improbable to me. Later in the day, if it remains sunny, we may see a balrog sunning his wings on the shore.

When ostriches and giraffes and parakeets start showing up, let me know…

No no, it’s actually a very tiny kangaroo quite close to the lens. It’s a trick of perspective, is all; nothing unusual in the least.
