street view on a chromebook - possible?

I can’t figure out how to move the little guy to the place in the map where I want to get a street view. Is there a trick to it, or is it not possible on a Chomebook?

Have you confirmed that street view is available in the place where you’re looking? Some places still don’t have it.

In the Google Maps app I just tap the location on the map to get a context menu that includes Street View. Since this is on my Android phone and the screen is fairly small I do sometimes have to push the menu up a little to bring the SV option into view.

A separate Google Earth app is now also available for at least Android 4.2 and above; it may work on older versions too. In this you’ll find the pegman and should be able to drag him with your finger.

Wait…Chromebooks are touch-enabled, right?

Works fine on my chromebook. I click several times on a spot in the general area in satellite view while zoomed in on the spot I want. Wait a couple of seconds and the little fella pops right up.

Insert snide remark here after the quote.

Ah, this works fine. Thanks.

As far as I know, the only touch-enabled Chromebook is the $1300 Chromebook Pixel.
