Student responsible for bomb threats, blackmail and sexual assults

I find it interesting that some people seem to be latching on to it’s a gay sex thing so the boys aren’t really victims. Let your true colors shine people, because it’s blinding.

Yeah, that’s right, Sherlock. We’re just getting ready to slap on the pink triangles.

Uhh, wouldnt the 'anti-gay" folks think it was WORSE?

If nobody is implying that then I’m wrong and not understanding their meaning.

Who said that? I’m hardy thrilled that kids might fear being outed as gay more than having nude pics of themselves exposed (hey, just like Hollywood stars).

I’m sure more details will follow. Though… am I wrong or did this story first surface months ago? Or was that another incident?

I expect that the guys who submitted were the weaker, more timorous, smaller guys in the group. You know, the guys who might be used to being bullied. The guys who might be almost desperate for some girl to show them some attention. I doubt the rougher, tougher, jock types would allow themselves to be intimidated. Unless, maybe, they just wanted to give gay sex a try.

Upon review, Harmonious, I get it. If everything really occurred pretty much how it’s described in the article, there will be a lot of ‘You can’t make a dude do anything sexual that he doesn’t want to do!’ Kind of like when a boy gets raped by a female teacher.

I think it’s slightly irresponsible to suggest a link between sexual assault and phoning in false bomb threats. One is clearly a serious crime, whereas the other is really more an expedient last-ditch method of postponing an exam.

I remember one time in high school when the cops searched the school on account of a bomb threat, and they actually found a bomb. What the hell?! That kind of idiotic behavior sucks all the fun out of bomb threats.

Yep.

There was an actual case of male raped by a woman article just in the news. I will post that link if I relocate it, just because it doesn’t happen too often.

I like the way you think. I’m partial to blowtorches.

Longmont woman accused of raping male friend

You’re just jealous because you didn’t think of it first.

You won’t want to miss my upcoming collection of inspirational aphorisms, All I Really Need to Know I Learned at the School of the Americas.

Which is then defended by many men with “heck, I’d have loved her as a teacher!”

I am sorry for these guys (the teens). This guy sounds like a real piece of work. I don’t quite get the story, either, but I have teens and I know that they will cover up some really stupid shit so that they don’t either get into trouble or look stupid.

So what, you’re saying the little queer sluts must have been asking for it?

At least one of the victims was only 15 years old. Boys as young as 13 were targeted (their photos were on Stancl’s computer) and may also have been assaulted. This might blow your mind, but 13-15 year olds are not always paragons of rational thought and prudent behavior. Kids that age and in a small town would also have good reason to fear humiliation at school/punishment from parents, and Stancl may have specifically targeted boys who were easily bullied.

Other articles I’ve read on this story mention that he performed sex acts on the boys in some instances and, in other instances, had them perform acts on him. I could see a scenario where the first phase of the blackmail is him performing sex acts on the victims which sounds to them like a better (and not quite as “gay”) deal than the public humiliation. Of course, Phase Two is “Now you do it to me unless you want your buddies to have pictures of you getting blown by a guy e-mailed to them.”

I’m just pulling scenarios out of my ass though. It could just as easily gone a different way.

What the hell is a dog ham?

Or do I not want to know?

Shockingly enough, I’m with Freejooky on this one. At least insofar as something definitely doesn’t add up here. I still hope the dude gets sent to choky for years and years.

Only you can answer the second question. As to the first: dog ham.

You know, that wasn’t nearly as disturbing as I feared.

Maybe I’ve been hanging around here too much.
