I remember around 1990 when a law went into effect (in the US) requiring packaged foods to have nutrition information on them. LOTS of things reformulated their recipes and haven’t tasted the same since. Notably, Cracklin’ Oat Bran cereal, which was the most delicious substance on the planet. Now it just tastes like cinnamon. Crappy poo.

It tasted just like the Japanese drink Ramune and was a hell of a lot cheaper and easier to find. And also another vote for Pudding Pops. Tried them again when the ‘re-released’ them a while ago but they didn’t taste the same Oh and Fruitopia drinks. How could I forget those??
Oh god yes! Apparently there is a new product from a company called Niche that is the same essential cookie. They are called Lemon Cookies and they have a tagline that says Cooler than Ever. I’m going to be looking for them now!
Carvel pistachio or banana soft serve ice cream.
The Carvel stand on Atlantic Avenue near the Brooklyn/Queens border sold vanilla and chocolate all of the time and a third flavor occasionally.
The closest I’ve come to the flavor of the soft serve Carvel is the frozen custard of South Jersey/Philly.

Fusion used to be one of my favourite chocolate bars. There’s something about the combination of caramel and toasted rice.
I see Mtn Dew Code Red all the time. I figure it’s permanent. What I can’t find is Ritz Spicy Chipotle Cheddar Pretzel Thins. I hope that’s just temporary, and they haven’t been d/c’d.
