Stuff you loved that was discontinued.

I have a whole list of things that have been discontinued that I miss.

[li]Crystal Clear Pepsi[/li][li]Hershey’s Smores bar[/li][li]Twix java. Food of the gods this was.[/li][li]Surge cola[/li][li]Josta Cola[/li][li]Crayola’s erasable crayons[/li][li]Crayola’s scented crayons[/li][li]Wonkers[/li][li]Soda flavored bubblegum, that contained a bit of the soda syrup inside.[/li][li]Crispy m&ms[/li][li]Cherry m&ms[/li][/ul]

I know there’s more, but this is all I can remember. Out of the list, I’d die a happy man if they’d bring back Twix Java and Crystal Clear Pepsi.

Just remembered one. Cooler ranch doritos. These were the best chips ever. I stopped eating doritos after they stopped putting these out, as the regular cool ranch ones just don’t compare.

Snapple Elements. Particularly the Rain flavor. So good, used to get them as a treat every time my siblings and I went to the store with my mom. Wish they’d make them again…

Warner Brothers Stores- They closed down the one in Dayton, Ohio a long time ago. Haven’t seen one since

And crispy M&Ms.

I thought I’d heard it was still sold in the U.S. I may have to stock up one of these days.

Bumping because I bought a box at CVS a few hours ago. Nestle makes 'em, still taste the same but they’re about half the size they used to be. Only one gram of sugar per cap so they’re diabetic-friendly, as long as one doesn’t eat too many.

I guess this is OK if its eight years old, because good stuff is always being discontinued. Plenty of new material.

A cigarette brand: Bright. More peppermint than “menthol”. Gone about 30 years now.
Ragu brand Italian Cooking Sauce.
Klondike brand sugar free ice cream bars.
TV series: “The Yellow Rose”.

Lots of stuff I miss.

Cheeetos Asteroids.

7-11 discontinued stuffed cookies–2 cookies with vanilla frosting between them. I loved the oatmeal raisin stuffed cookies.

Berryclear Sprite Remix.

There’s a bunch of stuff that Trader Joe’s used to carry but no longer does, that I used to buy regularly. All those frozen stir-fry-in-a-bag meals - that used to be one of my regular standbys for dinner; wish I still had a bunch of those in my freezer. And their oriental meals-in-a-bowl, stuff like massaman chicken and lemongrass chicken.

They used to have half-gallon jugs of limeade which I always kept a supply of.

Their chocolate raspberry sticks were my favorite dessert.

I’m sure there are a bunch more that I’ve just plain forgotten about.

Little Debbie’s has some stuffed cookies.

I miss No Bull Foods’ Fib Ribs.

Mission brand macaroni and cheese

Free love.

Some products I love (I know some have been mentioned already) are:

Restaurant
Pizza Hut Edge pizza
McDonald’s Chicken Fajitas
Burger King Chicken Parmesan Sandwich
Burger King Chicken Burger

Store
Chicken Helper Teriyaki
Campbell’s Tomato Cup of Soup
Jello Pudding Pops
Walmart’s store brand fudgsicles

I believe Freezer Queen(?) used to make this frozen pouches that had gravy and meat slices(beef or turkey) that you could heat up in the microwave and dump over toast to make hot sandwiches but I haven’t seen them in decades.

I also remember one frozen food company(I want to say Banquet) used to make a chocolate cream pie that was under $2.00 that I really liked. I haven’t seen these in decades either.

Trader Joe’s used to have a ground coffee product called Cafe e’ Cocoa (sp) that was ground coffee with ground chocolate–no sugar added. They sold it for several years until one day it was just gone; no warning. I still have one empty can that still holds the aroma–I smell it every once in a while for nostalgia’s sake.

  1. my makeup, after years of searching for the perfect color.

Much, much older:

Kellogg’s Krumbles cereal (betcha no one else remembers them)

Heinz or maybe it was Hunt’s chili beans that were served for lunch in my School cafeteria in 1958!

This has to have been mentioned, but, going with the bump: Bacon Thins.

Honey Hill Farms frozen yogurt, sold in pints in the 1990’s. I’d buy a dozen of them at a time from Trader Joe’s.

Mrs. Grass’s Noodle Soup with the Flavor Nugget…they still make the soup, but it has a ‘flavor packet’ rather than the Flavor Nugget…it’s not the same…
