Stump the dope with your most obscure reference

Is the a book/movie/play/CD/song/poem/TV show that is so obscure that you suspect no one else on the entire dope will catch a reference to it?

This has to be something that is generally available to the public, not some song a friend of yours wrote in college, or what have you…
Here’s my question:
What is the only known work of (fictitious) noted contemporary composer Nathan Blumgarden?

I have a quote I love to use because no one will ever recognize the source. Ever.

“Absolutely toast. Nothing could be futher from the handbag.”

No googling. I haven’t even checked to see if it’s on google, actually.

I don’t know either of the above, but I’ll add:

“That was back when Ida had legs.”

and

“The water is singing the Hallelujah Chorus.”

Pandora Spocks.

That one I know without googling. She was the “actress” credited with playing Serena on Bewitched. (One of my favorite SNL moments was when Quentin Tarantino sang Serena’s Boyce and Hart number “I’ll Blow You a Kiss on the Wind” as his opening monologue.)

It started with seven notes…

There’s a thread about Hercules where they wonder if there will be another movie about him. I wanted to make the comment “Wll he did throw his back out in the 80s.” but I doubted anyone would catch it.

A favorite of mine, but pretty obvious:

As we swoop low on trees or sweep under carpets
We could dive into suns though it’s not recommended

I’m wondering if I could make something up and claim it to be obscure.

It’s a pun! In your precious Terranglish!

Nevermind the furthermore, the plea is self-defense.

TV:
“We’re all Fate’s bitch.”

A reference to Bill Murray’s guest host appearance on SNL where he played Herc?

contemptuously The mighty Hercules!

A few of my favorite quotes often elicit blank looks:

“Skin that one pilgrim and I’ll get you another one.”

“I been to a town.”

“There’s a lot *in *vegetables.” <==No one will get this.

Close Encounters maybe?

Mine: “That’s the beauty of it…it doesn’t DO anything!”

“The water is singing the Hallelujah Chorus.”

I’m gonna’ guess that’s from Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid when they were trying to screw up the courage to jump off the cliff into the river.

“Posey’s Peas – By the Ounce, By the Pound, By the Ton”

Never underestimate the power of the dope.

“I can crawl again”

Hint: there was a doper a few years ago who had an extended quote from this movie as his/her sig.
