Stump the moderator

Was there ever a thread so profound or more likely so inane that the moderating staff was wholly unable to determine its proper forum (so long as it resided somewhere else)?

Related: among moved threads, what is the record for the maximum number of forums resided in? I’ve seen a few three-fers in my day, but never a four forum grand slam.
Members, feel free to pose other salient questions in this thread.

One year for April Fools, the mods created a thread that got bounced around to all the forums.

It rhymes with ‘Punt’.

Just FYI in regards to Oaky’s post - the thread in question was not created by us, rather we picked one at random and asked the OP if it was OK to have fun with it. Approval was granted and hilarity ensued.

It’s just wrong not to include a link.

Ditto this!

From what I’ve seen, it’s commonplace for threads too provocative, bizarre, or merely pointless to get closed down rather than moved. At least once I’ve seen the reason given as “Too dumb to live.”

This is relevant to my interests. Links from anyone involved would give not just me, but several folks a chuckle.

This is the thread that got punted from forum to forum:

If I counted right, it was moved 18 times.

A gracious thank you from me, kind moderator.

And one internet to each of the mods who participated.

Thanks for the link - I busted a gut!

To to answer this factually, MPSIMS isn’t so much a forum with its own theme but a grab-bag for threads that don’t belong elsewhere. So any really problematical thread would likely end up there (unless it got contentious enough to be sent to the Pit).

One logical progression for multiple movements would be GQ>IMHO>GD>The Pit, as a topic became progressively more opinionated and contentious, but I’m not aware of any specific examples offhand.

Thanks for responses and posting the link. On progressions, I’ve seen GQ->GD->Pit a fair amount.
