About 1400 of those stores have what they call ‘family restrooms’ – a small, individual bathroom for a person of any gender, possibly with a baby or minor children with them. You know, like the bathroom in your house. And they are trying to add them to the rest of their stores, where the structure allows it.

How do you judge if someone can use the ladies room simply by look alone? Seems weird to say that in a thread lambasting a guy for doing just that.
Only seems weird to me if China Guy had done any lambasting, or if the issue has ever been “anything goes, pee wherever you want.” He hasn’t, and it ain’t.
I once went into the two stall ladies room at the local library and as I was using the facilities, I realized the other stall was being used by a man. I finished what I was doing, and as I was washing my hands the man came out. “Is this the ladies room?” he asked.
Having a flash of total inspiration, I went and opened the inner door and held it open while I opened the outer door and looked at the sign on the front. “Yep” I replied.
He walked out without washing his hands. I found the incident incredibly funny.
Regardless of all of the ridiculousness I just came in to say that Buck Angel is pretty attractive. I guess that makes me a PREE-VERT.

Not to inject race into it was well, but this weekend at a 5k (heh) I (male) was in line to use the men’s room and there were women in both lines, using both the men’s and women’s room.
No damage seems to have occurred.

Just to clarify. I’m a father and my kid is alone in the bathroom with me standing watch outside the door. You’ll see that replicate by a lot of parents in a lot of places.
I don’t care what one’s perceived gender is, but if something pings papa bear radar that you just might be a threat to my little girl (you’re drunk, high, acting inappropriately, look like a male wanna be rapist looking for kiddie victims in a public bathroom, etc,) I will do something to make sure my girl is safe. Hopefully, I’ll be polite, and non offensive.
My point being that the conservative dog whistles about little kids being at risk in the bathroom. Little kids always have *some *risk in a public bathroom, and most of the time you’ll see a parent just outside the door keeping watch in case there is need for intervention. We don’t live in a perfect world, and there are perverts and predators that parents should be watching out for instead of making stupid laws (that incidentally want to discriminate beyond the bathroom in the case of NC).
