Hey, the gun shop owner is a woman, so at least you can’t drag out the usual good ol’ boy, penis-compensation slurs. And Obama has inspired more gun sales than the Manson family. And gun sales do pick up after reports of maniac killers. Frankly, you’re mocking the truth.
New Jersey Priest Points Antique Gun at 8-Year-Old Over Football Rivalry
that seems reasonable
Hey, he’s a priest. Kid got off lucky.
You beat me to it.
He could been Sanduskied.
Yes, gun owners turn into Chicken Littles with their heads cut off at the mere suggestion of restricting their guns. It’s called separation anxiety. Like other psychological conditions, it’s detrimental to an individual’s well-being, so it’s strange to see gun owners actually flaunt it to support their cause.
Say what you will about Obama, he’s hardly responsible for the psychological disorders of gun owners, no more than he is for children afraid of losing their security blankets.
She’s the gun seller, Lumpy good ol’ boy! :smack: Selling satisfaction to men with penis anxiety? That’s been a woman’s job for centuries. I think you inadvertantly helped the rational-thinking side of the aisle make their case, Lumpy, at least by demonstrating that gun nuts are too dumb even to connect dots.
I’m not sure if this belongs in the gun thread or the stupid politician thread.
Americans - just how the fuck do people like this get elected and stay in office?
Where I’m from, if anybody said anything even halfway as incendiary and dumb as this it would be front page news and create mass outrage
I don’t know if Alex Jones is behind it but the crazies have already started talking about it. This has been floating around facebook.

At least it’s good to see one gun owner admit that he feels helpless without a gun. There’s therapy that can help someone get over that.
I know a guy who always carries. He refuses to sit in a restaurant with his back to the door, and he won’t go to a move theater that doesn’t allow the carrying of a weapon. He strikes me as the last guy we want carrying a gun around.
One of the ironies of the gun debate is that the people most attracted to guns are the ones who need them least-- white males who live in rural and suburban areas.
I’m a white, rural living male. I own a couple of guns for strictly utilitarian reasons. The last time I used my shotgun was to kill a fox that wouldn’t leave our yard. It was submitted to the department of agriculture local field office and tested positive for rabies.
I last used my hangun a year or so before that. A badly injured deer that may have taken days to finish dying collapsed in my parking area at work. The game commission couldn’t respond until later in the week, a state cop told us he wasn’t allowed to fire his weapon in situations like this. So I killed it.
I’m no more attracted to guns than I am to cordless drills, ladders, or flashlights.
Sorry, you’re saying that because you own and use guns that you’re not attracted to them? Doesn’t follow.
Anyway, I meant from a personal protection angle, and I should’ve been clearer. The people least likely to be the victim of a crime, least likely to be hassled by cops, and least likely to be the victim of domestic violence are the ones most likely to be in favor of weak gun laws. I find that ironic.
Anyone who thinks I’m exaggerating about the utter freakiness of gun freaks missed a recent post in another thread:
I didn’t click “Find recent posts by Flyer.” Apologies for Flyer if this was parody. Pity for Flyer if it wasn’t.
This has been making the rounds:
I guess if it was required by law, I’d own one. However, he doesn’t say anything about having to own ammunition, and I’d probably keep it in a safe deposit box, since I have no real use for it and it’s a potential hazard to keep it around the house.
This is pretty widespread. If you hang around a firing range you’ll quickly learn what businesses do or do not allow firearms. “So And So doesn’t allow firearms anymore, guess I’ll never go there again.”
People plan their lives around their gun. My dad is a lightweight gun nut. For years, his dream has been to go to Alaska but he won’t fly. He finally looked into driving but found that you can’t take a gun into Canada. Welp, so much for Alaska.
Three cheers for Florida: New bill would give up to $200,000 to anyone who kills someone in “self-defense,” and the burden is shifted to the prosecution.
