Stupid Gun news of the day (Part 1)

Even at the range. Ask Chris Kyle’s widow.

Yeah, aren’t we?

Lumping us together with the bad guys, yep, your stupidity is showing.

“Us” and “the bad guys” again? Do please tell us how to tell the difference.

The “good guys” are the ones who have guns but haven’t killed anyone yet. When they do kill someone, they’re the bad guys. See? Simple. No True Gun Owner would kill someone except in self defense.

I’d love to hear even one of them explain it, in some other way than “Yeah, that guy was stupid, but you can trust me.”

haters will be haters.

In school today, my son and his classmates drew about how they were feeling. My son, who’s seven, drew a crude tombstone labeled with the dead girl’s name, and he wrote “I feel sad.”

And handwavers will be handwavers. I refuse to see “hating senseless death” as a fault.

Federal judge rules NY’s ban on nunchuks violates the 2nd Commandment. Said the plaintiff:

Bolding added, along with .

Honestly, I don’t know why they would ban nunchuks anyway.

It’s a “martial arts weapon”. Conveniently ignoring the fact that pretty much everything can be a martial arts weapon.

For the same reason they banned lawn darts. I don’t think it is an exaggeration to say nunchucks hurt those wielding them as often as those on the receiving end.

Wait, nunchucks are graven images?

No kidding. The only person ever hurt, in the history of nunchucks, is the person swinging them around. Bruce Lee is the only exception.

Seems like it would be strange to walk into a store “Yes, I’d like to buy some nunchucks please”

“Sorry, they are illegal, cannot buy them”

“Oh ok. Can I have 700 guns instead?”

“Sure, no problem!”

As I understand it, the breaking of the text varies. In at least one small sect, the first commandment encompasses the graven image thing, meaning the second says “thou shalt not take the Lord’s cudgels in vain”.

And in closing.

Dancing FBI agent who shot man at Denver bar after doing backflip pleads guilty, will avoid jail time

ETA: Well, probably not the final chapter. I’m sure there’s a civil suit in the works.

Somewhere I saw this advice on how to use nunchucks to win a fight. The advice was “Put them down, and hope your opponent picks them up and tries to use them.”
