James Earl Ray was a convicted felon. He was able to purchase a Remington rifle and ammunition at a sporting goods store because of poor background checks in place at the time.
Two idiots, a man and a woman, start playing with a revolver late at night, as one does. Soon they decide to play Russian roulette, as one does, but with a slight twist. The man empties all the bullets from the cylinder, puts one back in, and spins the cylinder. Then he points the gun away and pulls the trigger. Click! The woman then picks up the gun and, apparently without giving the cylinder a spin, points it at the man and pulls the trigger. Click! Not to be outdone, the man picks up the revolver, again apparently without spinning the cylinder, points it at the woman, and pulls the trigger. No click this time. The woman suffers a gunshot to the chest and is pronounced dead at the hospital.
These untrained idiots with guns! Trained, responsible gun owners would never do such a thing!
You know where this is going, don’t you? The two idiots were St. Louis City cops. In addition, the man is a former Marine and the woman had spent six years in the Army.
If only there had been a good guy with a gun there to shoot one or both of them before this tragedy. Well, there was another person at the scene, one who appears to have had a sliver of sense. But he merely chided the idiots for playing with the gun and said he wanted no part of it. He started to leave the apartment, but before getting out of the building. he heard the fatal gunshot.
This only proves that we shouldn’t count on the police to protect us and that’s why we should rely instead on armed amateurs. Because when the police are minutes away, there’s an idiot with a gun standing right there.
Man killed by a gun sold illegally by his cousin

DC drug and gun trafficker sells gun illegally to someone, who ends up killing the dealer’s cousin in a random shooting.
Trafficker got started when he was in the Marines. He would get Marines to buy guns, then report them stolen and sell them to him to be trafficked. This is how legal guns become illegal guns.

From what I have read, ATF classifies an auto-sear as a machine gun in and of itself.
I believe it is the drop in auto sear that they treat that way. There are auto sears for sale all over the place.
But, otherwise law abiding, right?
He said he doesn’t like laws. And besides, I can’t believe there is a law against machine guns anyway. Now, only criminals will have machine guns! How can I defend myself against machine guns, if I’m not allowed to buy machine guns?

Given that you’ve had fewer original thoughts than I’ve had winning Lotto tickets, that’s to be expected. We can’t hold you to the standard of recognizing that E saying it a lot doesn’t make it any less stupid and poorly thought out.
Maybe if you buy each of the 700 types of gun that you can buy in California, you can use them as some sort of shield.
If you build a wall out of guns, then they actually are useful for defense.

oooh, that’s not a bad idea. We could do a voluntary gun turn in, where every gun will get its own special place in the wall.

Think of it as a memorial, like the Vietnam one on the Mall, except it would be an actual interment site. Let the former owners put their names on each one of their dead loved ones to symbolize their sacrifice in the cause of freedom and whiteness.
