Florida Man pulls a gun on a Starbuck’s employee because they forgot cream cheese on his bagel (BTW, the employee is the daughter of a cop)
Just noticed the latest Positive Gun News posts, and they’re sadder than this thread. Sad.
Looks like MEBuckner went on vacation. 17h since a stupid gun news post and he hasn’t yet countered with a thrilling tale of a good guy with a gun killing someone that justifiably deserves it. I fear stupid gun news might get a lead too large to overcome. Come on MEBuck…you can do it!!!
Stroke your metal Bone, MEB.
Anyone who pulls a gun on another person for frivolous reasons (like not putting cream cheese on their bagel) should have all their guns confiscated and banned from ever owning a gun for life. And I’d love to hear the NRA protesting this law while trying to claim they support “responsible gun ownership”.
Ya mean like shooting a neighbor over grass clippings?
Former NRA president David Keene invited down to LV to give graduation speech to three thousand chairs representing the students who would not be graduating this year due to gun violence.
Nothing stupid about that except the NRA.
He’s Black, in Florida, and likes to wave his gun around? How’d he make it to 38?
It was a gun, not a phone.
Not sure if this goes in this thread or the good news thread.
A good Samaritan who was carrying a concealed weapon heard a cop get killed outside the store he was shopping in. He drew his weapon and ran out of the store towards the shooter. He was later killed by police who said that he saved many lives. It is not clear if the civilian killed the shooter or not but it has now come out that the police killed him.
A rare two-fer - by the rules of the ‘good news’ thread (and assuming the civilian killed the cop killer), definitely belongs there.
And of course the oft-mentioned “one good guy (or cop) with a gun not knowing the other guy with a gun was also a good guy so he shoots him” has now actually occurred.
Top Belize police official helps socialite friend learn how to use a gun.
Police official now dead.
That’s fucking tragic.
Also, the next time we are told this sort of thing doesn’t happen, we now know it kind of does.
From the other thread:
You really shouldn’t be firing deadly weapons blindly, with no knowledge of who you might hit when the bullet comes back down - but if you really made that burglar shit himself, I guess it was worth it…
“Hey, I could have just murdered the guy in cold blood and nobody could have proved that it WASN’T self defense, what are you complaining about?”
At this point that thread is basically one poster’s blog. But it makes him happy, I guess.
Not the first time. Here are two that I was immediately aware of. I’m sure there are many more.
But this time it was a white guy (and I wouldn’t be surprised if he isn’t the first but seems worth noting).
What we need now is for one non-LEO good guy with a gun to shoot another non-LEO good guy with gun. That one will be hard to spin into the “Positive Gun News” thread.
Actually a better example is Jacai Colson, an undercover police officer:
"According to the lawsuit filed Monday, Krauss shot Colson after Ford was taken into custody. The plaintiffs say Colson held his badge and verbally identified himself as an officer. "As he’s screaming “Police! Police!” Officer Krauss fires from a football field away at a person that he cannot identify… The lawsuit asserts Krauss should have recognized Colson, as they were assigned to the same division and sat at connecting desks.
Naturally the police officer Krauss is still on the police force while the guy who was shooting at the police station (and didn’t injure anyone) got 195 years…
