Stupid Gun news of the day (Part 1)

Have you checked your testosterone count lately. You are probably running low.

Another home invader shot and killed.

He doesn’t seem to be the one petrified of the world and scared that his amulet is going to be taken away.

He hasn’t created a delusion of being attacked by a 2x4 to justify his congenital pants-filling insecurity.

Delusion? Oh yeah, you think all defensive gun uses are delusions.

Ah, so you agree, then? Good, that is progress.

Nice try elucidator. Hey when I think of low testosterone levels, I think of you.

I hunt grizzly bear with a baseball bat. If I were to trim my pubes, I’d need a tin snips. Chuck Norris called me “hippy” once, now he calls me “Sir”. Only hamster-hung nancy boys like you need a gun.

All that and you need ginseng to help get it up?

What’s the matter, didn’t work?

a good selection of stupid gun stories fom across the nation.

And more yet..

Nobody else is seeing a pattern here???

Nope. Actual ones happen, and they are good examples of why people should have the option of reasonable self-defense with firearms.

Yours is just a made up story because you’re a pussy. 2x4? What, were you in the midst of home renovation? Or did this invader - who had bipolar disorder but who was also infatuated with the girlfriend who has appeared in later versions of the story - bring his own 2x4 as his selected weapon?

But I was commenting on age of ownership. So, what is the age requirement to own a gun?

In Minnesota the age to legally own a gun is 18. Minors can “possess” (hold, shoot) a firearm “under the direct supervision of the person’s parent or guardian”.

I carry a gun so I don’t have to be a “tough guy”. It’s for being left alone, or coping with anyone stupid/ insane/ high enough to think they’re ninjas.

Carrying a weapon makes you a better person? Damn, where did you start from? Does the stinger on a scorpion make it more cuddly?

Sounds like it was a toss-up as to who ended up dead from the homeowner’s gun, which I assume was the only gun present in this case.

More of a brush with death than a shining example of the protection afforded by firearms, no?

Is there an accepted definition of “home invasion”? Always seemed to me it would apply to an armed incursion into the home, to terrorize, rob and/or rape. Like Germany “invaded” Poland, didn’t sneak in, steal some potato pancakes, and tip-toe away.

So, a guy sneaks in to the house with no weapon, hoping to steal something and get away unnoticed. That’s a “home invasion”, then? And if you shoot the dumb sumbitch, that’s “self defense”? Even if the guy flees when he hears you, trying to get away, and you shoot him, that’s also “self-defense”?

Does that not, essentially, make burglary a capital crime, with the sentence adjudicated and executed by someone not legally entitled to make such a determination? Strikes me as a very exaggerated view of the value of property. I don’t own anything worth killing somebody to keep, just like you don’t own anything worth killing you to take.

It’s a deterrent. You do know that the point of a deterrent is to not be the one to go first (and hopefully not be the one to go second either)?

But its “concealed carry”, no? So, by that measure, its not so much a deterrent as a surprise.

Now, perhaps if you had one of those name tags they give out at conventions, “HI! My name is Lumpy, and I can kill you!”.

Great!
