I always wonder at folks who think we need guns to protect us from tyranny, who also think our government has sanctioned the murder of 60 million helpless babies, and who haven’t used their guns to protect us from that. Maybe they’re waiting for the government to do something really bad.
No, he doesn’t seem to have strong feelings about abortion. Mostly guns, immigrants, Black people, the homeless, and Muslims. And the gubmint.

Yeah I saw that passage and said to myself “that one’s a bad example”. My spec: doing a press check grabbing the slide by the front serrations but leaving half his hand hanging forward of the end, so when he exerted pressure his unsupported fingers and palm curled around so they went in front

Two fathers who got in what police say was a road-rage fight in Florida last fall exchanged gunfire and ended up shooting each other’s daughters.
Now, one of them is facing attempted murder charges while the other won’t have to spend another day in court over the skirmish.
William Hale, 36, of Douglas, Georgia, and Frank Allison, 44, of Callahan, Florida, were both driving home with their families on Oct. 8 after spending time in Jacksonville in northeastern Florida.
Both men have different stories about how the confrontation started but both agree that it was fueled by road rage, that they were brake-checking each other, driving too fast and that Allison’s wife flipped off the Hales, according to police records obtained by USA TODAY.

If I’m reading this right, they’re saying that, in Florida at least, if someone throws a water bottle at you, you’re justified in shooting them dead? It’s a wonder anyone is still alive in that benighted place.

Oh, wait! Not only would I be justified in shooting them, if I fire blindly from a moving vehicle and shoot an innocent bystander, that’s also A-OK! Now, let’s see…how about if I’m also driving on that highway and I see two assholes waving guns around and firing wildly - I’d definitely feel threatened, so I’d be free under Florida law to grab my own firearm and start shooting in their general direction, right?

Of course. That’s because the word person in Florida law (in practice) means white when it benefits the white individual and Black when the non-white individual can be made out as the perpetrator.
Gunmen shoot up resort in central Mexico, killing 7 people
MEXICO CITY (AP) — A band of gunmen invaded a resort where dozens of vacationers were spending the weekend in central Mexico and opened fire, killing six adults and a 7-year-old, authorities said.
Officials in the Cortazar municipality in Guanajuato state said in a statement that an eighth person was seriously wounded in the midafternoon attack at the La Palma resort. The statement did not speculate on a possible motive.
After the shooting, the attackers destroyed the spa shop and took the security cameras before fleeing, officials said. Three women, three men and the child died.

Well, I guess I can kind of see (squinting) being reluctant to open up when, after hearing gunshots, a bleeding person starts knocking at your door.
That being said, I’m certain the folks over in the ‘Good gun news of the day’ thread are wondering how someone shot in the head managed to run to three other houses.
And that being said, this is really going to put a crimp in my wife’s campaign to get the youngest son to move back here with his Black boyfriend (or even get them to come visit (the kid went to a rival high school in our school district)).
