Stupid Gun news of the day (Part 2)

I just came here to post this. I’m honestly surprised he was taken alive, and hope he didn’t harm anyone else in the meantime.

I would have put money that he fucked off back to Mexico.

If you’re not into PDF links, here is the Wiki entry.

Obviously, the fugitive was thinking “Cut and Shoot, Texas? How on the nose is that? Nobody’d EVER think of looking for me there!

One of the most notable places in Cut and Shoot, Texas is ‘Time to Spare’ entertainment…

One of my brothers just moved to Conroe, which is just down the street from Cut And Shoot. I’ll have to ask him if he has heard anything.

Oh, like his HOA would allow dogs.

Finally some progress. After years and dozens of dead students, someone is actually doing something about it, they are finally banning… backpacks???

Well… fuck.

What, even the see-through ones? Even the bulletproof ones?

The only thing bulletproof is the pubbies’ arguments against gun control. At least it appears that’s what they believe.

I guess it seems dumb, but what else can a school district do? They can (and do) ban guns in the school, but since the damn things are endemic in the culture, and more numerous than rats in a landfill, they can’t enforce it. They might frisk every student, which they can’t and shouldn’t, or install metal detectors which are too expensive, and what about 3d printed guns?

I can see where active shooter drills aren’t doing all that much other than traumatizing kids. Banning back packs obviously won’t stop shootings, but this ban will at least make it more difficult for students to get guns on campus.

Sigh, Lawmakers need to quit ahemm, “servicing” the NRA and the rest of the gun lobby. The way things stand now, schools and everyone else can only flounder helplessly, and slap on inadequate bandages to try and mitigate the damage.

“Our new loincloth dress code is for your safety.”

“And while we’re searching for guns we can also check you have the correct genitals. Can’t be too careful.”

I don’t blame the district, as you say, what else can they do.

I blame the society that put the district into a position of taking such a stupid and useless step.

But some of the school shootings (like Sandy Hook) were from an outsider entering the school, so banning backpacks carried by students does nothing to address those.

If only there was some common factor to all these massacres, like a specific tool that was used in all of them, which we could reduce access to!

That’s crazy talk.

Yeah, I mean what are you proposing, that we ban doors?!

Doors can be locked and monitored.

That would mean the kids are safely kept away from an even more dangerous weapon. Education.
Maybe that’s been the Deep State Right’s plan all along. /s
