Stupid Gun news of the day (Part 2)

The mass-shooting incident you failed to hear about, because it was prevented. Prevented because the black church was too full up at the time for the camoed, armed white guy to gain entry. If he had been an hour later, a bunch of people would have experienced lead poisoning.
The police captured him alive some while after. Being white allowed him to point his weapon at officers without getting killed. Later investigation into him shows he was quite the piece of work.

What’s the best way for a clerk to deal with an unpleasant customer who has been banned from the store?

Unfortunately there is not enough detail here to make a reasonable judgement; it’s possible the clerk was in fear for her life.

Given the guy had been banned from the store I think that’s a reasonable supposition.

According to the story, a witness says the guy was throwing things just before the shot was fired. So, yeah, more details needed, but not wild speculation to suppose the guy was behaving in a threatening way.

This Supreme Court is taking up gun legislation again - a disaster in the making.

“… This newly reported incident involving Rahimi comes on top of his alleged acts of violence against his ex that we already know of. His alarming rap sheet also includes arrests for shooting at someone’s home with an assault rifle in response to social media posts, shooting at drivers, shooting his gun in front of kids, and shooting his gun when a fast food eatery declined his friend’s credit card.”

“According to Everytown for Gun Safety, 70 women on average are shot and killed every month by an intimate partner. Abusive partners who can access firearms are five times more likely to kill their victims.” bolding mine.

BUT MAH GUNZZZZZZ !!!

Rahimi is charged with multiple assaults and various violent crimes. Assuming he is found guilty on any of those (he almost certainly will be) he will still be a convicted felon unable to own firearms regardless of the outcome of this one case of his.

HIs guilt or innocence is not the question the SC will rule on. Their decision impacts whether or not any state can limit gun ownership based on domestic violence assessments (limitations on the modern assholic opinion of guns for everyone IAW the last breath of the 2nd amendment) . The article somewhat clouds this (as did I, sorry) with the salacious details of the Rahimi’s crimes.

May this never change.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to see proper background checks as well as other laws to keep guns away from people like this also. It’s just that one of the planks of Ramswami’s candidacy would be to hand all felons back their guns.

I actually think that while a mention is worthy here, it’s worth a thread of it’s own. It’s not the usual stupid gun news of the day, but about actual legislation brought forth by someone with a specific political and personal agenda. But that’s up to you.

But not their voting rights.

Prior felony convictions made possession of the weapon illegal. He was in the home of a woman who had a restraining order on him.

Pounding on other people’s cars, though, is kind of risky.

When they reject your ID because it is clearly not yours, 2A solutions are called for

This person will probably end up as a Congresscritter.

We’re just lucky this didn’t happen at the “Beetlejuice” performance…

I’m not wishing harm…but it would have been interesting to watch the GOP/NRA reaction if pistol-packin’ mama Boobert had been killed by a stray bullet.

Antifa / BLM / FBI plant / Biden Crime Family™ / {Boogeyman of the Day} / All of the Above.

I’m not wishing harm; I’m just glad pistol-packin Boebert didn’t shoot any ushers and/or start spraying the crowd with lead for interrupting her demonstration of “fighting inflation”…

Florida man. Still pissed off after two years. Possible traumatic injury brought on the buried rage.

I’d also put this one in the positive gun news thread. Two good guys with guns battled it out and won!
