Stupid half.com seller - I pit you and your head made of dildojuice

Hey!

$1.85? It can be done even cheaper than that. Buy a cheapo 0.33 padded envelope. I'm guessing that the weight of a stick of RAM + padded envelope is about 3 oz. Ship that all across the country for .83. Total cost: $1.16. Total headaches saved: lots.

Did you get any pictures of the RAM as you took it out of the envelope, Seven?

Spongemom: some of us cynics, alas, doubt that notifying half.com/eBay would do much good. There’s thousands of puddles of dildojuice out there, and it seems their philosophy is “let the buyer beware.”

What’s the link to his feedback? I’d be interested to see what other kind of complaints he has.

You have more than one pair? What are you, made of money or somethin’?

He’s got 40+ feedbacks, all good.

I didn’t. But a picture of the envelope and memory would do the trick. There is a nice smash type mark on the envelope as well as damage to the corner of the memory. I could snap a picture of those if needed.

I’m just glad it was only 12 bucks. I can afford to loose that and not worry about it. I’d be more pissed if it was $100 memory.

It’s the attitude that bugs me though. Well, that and the whole “what the fuck was he thinking with a paper envelope” thing.

Well, if it worked for him 40+ times before, I don’t know why someone wouldn’t think of sending sensitive electronic equipment unprotected.

Re: charging more than the postage price: why is this an issue? How many times have you [the general “you”] been charged the exact shipping price by a seller? DareIsay it’s common practice for retailers to include the labor costs of shipping in the shipping price and certainly on many purchases, it’s the only profit center for the seller. Also, I suspect that many companies charge a set rate because specific shipping rates may vary across the country and instead of taking a hit, it’s easier to set the price higher than what the highest cost is likely to be.

Don’t get me wrong - this guy should have protected his product appropriately, but I don’t think it’s realistic for someone to add a percentage in his shipping for profit.

Am I the only one who thought of this when I read “dildojuice”?

And today in the email from half.com

So, am I supposed to mail the dead memory back to dildojuice? I’ve never had to do this before.

Of course, I was planning on just taping up the envelope and mailing it back with a new label. heh heh

Now, didn’t I say it would be a good idea to email the admin of the site?

See, lel, sometimes good things happen to good people. Of course, you have to go through a whole lotta shit to get there, but still…

kicks at ground

Yes, you did. Thanks mom.
