Stupid inability to curb my spending!

Well, it’s not that I’m in a dire financial situation, but god damn it, why don’t I have any self control when it comes to buying. Yesterday, I walk into Value Village, hoping to buy a cheap second hand dress to alter into a halloween costume. (I love the holiday, so I get started early!) Instead, I come out with three notebooks purchased for $3.99. I don’t even have a need for a notebook, let alone three. :smack: I don’t even know anyone who has a need for them. :smack: It’s just that they were really nice, made from handcrafted paper and all pretty looking.

And don’t even mention craft stores to me… I can go in hoping to buy a spool of thread, and I walk out with a purchase of over $100. :smack:  :smack:

I have such a problem walking out of a store without something in my hand. I suspect it’s because when I was a child, my parents substituted material things for love. :dubious:

Value Village is definitely the place to go for unrestrained spending. Stay away from Neiman Marcus, for sure.

Although I heartily approve of buying a notebook every chance you get and it sounds like they were a really good deal.

My husband finally put his foot down and said that I can only buy as many books as I can carry from the store unassisted.

I really hope you’re not serious about this. :dubious:

If by chance you are, grow up. You’re the one doing the buying now.
