How Often Do You Buy Things You Turn Out Not Wanting and How Often Do You Sell/Give Things You Later

How Often Do You Buy Things You Turn Out Not Wanting and How Often Do You Sell/Give Things You Later Obtain After Realizing You Really Want It?

I used to buy a lot of things that I turned out not wanting, but am getting better at not doing this. Sometimes I’ll sell/give something, then later realize that I really do want it and get it again.

God, I have been plagued with this for a couple of years now. It drives me crazy.

I swear, at the time I’m buying it, I’m thinking, “Wow! I really like this, I’m getting it!” By the end of the season, it’s sitting unworn and I’m wondering ‘what I was thinking?’

I tried taking friends with me shopping, but their influence didn’t affect the outcome much. And I was losing more and more confidence. It was, in large part, a fashion crisis likely triggered by aging, but it’s still quite disconcerting.

GoodWill is seeing all the benefit, so hardly a tragedy, but I can feel those garments mocking me as the weeks pass and I realize, “I’m never gonna wear this!”

It’s happened a few times with clothing, and like elbows, I’ll pass my folly along to Goodwill et al.

The one and only time I got mixed up in Black Friday Craziness, I came home with a metric butt-ton of stuff. Once it was in the house, I surveyed it all and thought “What the @#%$#&* *was I thinking??” I ended up taking most of it back a few days later.

Once I bought a shirt on line, and when it arrived, it was way uglier than it was on my computer screen, but it was sooooooooo comfortable, I just couldn’t return it. I’ve still got it and I still wear it and it’s still ugly, but it’s soooooooooo comfortable…

Is it any wonder I hate shopping??
