Does the “charter member” thing only show up on new posts, or does it have a sort of ripple-back effect to earlier posts?
Five years here, joined three days after Ed, maybe not the most chatty poster, but you would think it could take less than twelve hours to update a status squib…

Did you pay via PayPal eCheck? In this type of transaction, funds are debited from your bank account and not credited to us until they clear your bank. Typically this takes 3-4 business days. We are supposed to receive a payment notification from PayPal when the funds clear, at which point we’ll change your member status. We understand from vBulletin, the supplier of our message board software, that PayPal sometimes fails to send out these notifications. If you’re still a guest at the end of the week we’ll inquire further. If you did NOT pay via eCheck, pls say so and we’ll investigate now.
I paid with a credit card last night but my name still doesn’t say “Charter Member”. And I’ve been with SDMB for five years! sniff

You were one of the people who got a “custom title” for some reason long ago. I switched you back to the default and it looks like you’re OK now.
I paid via credit card yesterday afternoon, but haven’t posted anything since. Let’s see if this post magically gets me Chartered. If not, a little help would be greatly appreciated.
