Strange. Did you get the “you should subscribe” page before the post window?
Maybe you’re getting a freebie because of your membership in the 10K club. 
I’m also impatient. I should’ve waited more than fifteen minutes. Sorry about that.
Hmm… It charged my credit card, so no freebie. I have my e-mail receipt, and I encountered no problem in the subscription process.
Also, all my user settings have disappeared and reverted to default. My location and so on are also blank.
Just adding a me-too…paid via PayPal, got an email receipt, still says Member.
Your "Location: " field and post count are displayed, so it had to have processed your subscription on some level–people who haven’t registered aren’t getting those displayed.
The location field on mine is blank on my screen. I’m presently reviewing the settings, and I see that some of them have changed. E-mail from admins, for example, used to be checked. Now, it is unchecked. I used to use the other format, and now it’s back to the default. I’m trying to see whether I can set it all back.
Well, got the location back in.
Just adding my name to this list as well - in case the admins will use this as a list (I don’t wish to e-mail them about it first day before giving them a chance to correct any bugs).
FWIW, I paid with a credit card, but via paypal. I have my receipt.
Everyone in this thread now says “Charter Member” except me. I even tried logging out and logging back in to reset my cookie. :

Mine is fixed. I e-mailed Gaudere, and she had it fixed in no time.
Looks like there’s a delay processing the member status for some people? I am (was?) in this boat as well.
For Libertarian, Jadis, and vix I noticed that your user account had a custom title turned on with a value of Member. I edited your user account so that you will be using the default Charter Member title for subscribed users. This may happen for a number of other users as well. If it happens to you please post to this thread and one of the Administrators will resolve the problem.

I’m curious. Why did they have custom titles?
Can anyone help me, I have already subscribed through paypal and received my receipt, but the forum still tells me I am a guest member and prompts me to subscribe again.

AHHHHHH! I paid, I swear I did. I have the paypal receipt and everything. Cept it’s still barking at me to register and now I can’t get my messages to stick. Is the board just really slow today?
