New Yorkers, those who know the routes in Brooklyn:
My wife used to take the D train from a stop (in Brooklyn) on Avenue M near East 15th into Manhattan. I don’t see that stop anymore on the map at www.nycsubway.org. Is there a train that still runs from that station into Manhattan? If not, where is the closest train stop?
It’s now the Q line, but still the same stop.

Minor addition: Make sure you take the local (Q in a circle) train. The express (Q in a diamond) doesn’t stop at Ave M. It skips from Newkirk Ave. to Kings Highway.
Welcome to town.

Thanks. We’re coming into Manhattan with the kids just for the day to walk around. I think we’ll park in Brooklyn and take the train into the city.
That might be the best thing. Parking in Manhattan is only for the extremely brave at heart (or heavy with coin).
