Wow, Euthanasiast, helluva rant. I bow before the master!
I could say I’ve heard her tale a thousand times in AA meetings…but nope, she’s right up there in the stratosphere of out-of-control drunks. What astonishes me is that she managed to go six years between DUIs; maybe the bars and liquor store are within walking distance? I know I never drove when I was drinking; that was the only thing I did to protect myself from myself.
I agree 100% with the advice from various folks here to be careful, though. Although if she’s been going as strong in the intervening six years as you suggest, she may be too sozzled to pull much of that shit off any more; she may just be sitting in a room drinking herself to death these days, which is the end most alcoholics come to (if they live that long). For your sake, I hope so. For her sake, I hope this propels her into some kind of treatment.
But this rant definitely makes the all-time top 5. And I hope her daughters aren’t permanently damaged beyond repair.
