Suddenly ONE computer can't see past the cable modem?

A few hours ago all my home networked PCs and Macs were working fine and accessing the internet. Now, one Mac can’t see anything on the internet, but it can see the cable modem pages which all say everything is fine. The other computers can see the internet as usual. Non-browser services on this Mac have also stopped working. I tried rebooting it but still the same. The connection from Mac to cable modem is obviously fine, as I can see the modem.

Any idea what gives?

Sounds like the router’s NAT function is hosed. Reboot the router.

After hours of rebooting everything and working with online tech support after all the other computers stopped seeing the Internet, they had me change DNS servers, and this fixed everything. The ones I had were fine for seven years, and suddenly wouldn’t work anymore. Weird.

Thanks, Francis. Sorry I disappeared!
